I use to believe that the parties were two sides of the same coin. Tax and spend liberals who's only difference was where they spent our tax money. Perhaps they were when I was a kid growing up in the 60's and 70's. Since Reagan and mostly under the leadership of Trump, the GOP has shifted to more authoritarian of Dictatorship and less law and order than ever before. In 2000 Gore conceded after the SC decision. In 2016 butthurt as she was, Hillary conceded the election in the wee hours the next morning after the election. Neither one questioned the legitimacy of our democratic elections.
