Centrist Dem group rails against leftist identity politics and purity tests

I see your point but I'm hoping the base will re-learn why they supported 'RINO's in the past.

To get a lot of talk and no action?

We don't want dem lite, we want Republicans to actually do things.

Trump is doing what the base wants done, and he is pulling in more and pulling in people from the Dem side sick of the party being the party of shrill women and men who want to be women.

Trump is certainly delivering on the 'action' part. I just wonder if Americans will suffer buyers remorse once they see how that action directly affects them. They may learn the reason America was the way it was before Trump/Musk.

I doubt it. The problem is the federal government has moved so far off the Constitution that corrective measures are required.

"Centrist Dem group rails against leftist identity politics and purity tests

When several dozen Democratic political operatives and elected officials gathered at a tony resort off the Potomac River last month, frustration boiled over at the left wing of their party.

Democrats had become too obsessed with “ideological purity tests” and should push back “against far-left staffers and groups that exert a disproportionate influence on policy and messaging,” according to a document of takeaways from the gathering produced by the center-left group Third Way and obtained by POLITICO.

The group of moderate Democratic consultants, campaign staffers, elected officials and party leaders who gathered in Loudoun County, Virginia for a day-and-a-half retreat, where they plotted their party’s comeback, searched for why the party lost in November — and what to do about it. Much of what they focused their ire on centered on the kind of identity politics that they believed lost them races up and down the ballot."

The Democrat grifter leadership has lost control of the party. They played with fire, when they decided to ally with the radical Left.
Now, they are getting burned.
So.........what you're saying in is Dems allow for internal dissent and opposing points of view but Repubs do not. Thanks.

Democrats allowed leftists to hijack their party and now it may be too late to save it from extinction.

LOL.

Lets see Dems try to stop the trans nuttery or support closing the borders, besides the ones in purple districts fighting for their re-election.

Are there any pro-life democrats?

One man represents the MAGA GOP but there are plenty of his foot soldiers voting in GOP primaries. The GOP won't recover until the MAGA folk get voted out. I fear that won't be for a long time.
Trump runs the Party.

Everybody else follows-along "or else".

You are right about one thing though...

It will (in all likelihood) be a long time before the MAGA folk are voted-out...

Why?

Because America-at-large has had a bellyful of Identity Politics, Open Borders, DEI, Dem hypocrisy and corruption, etc.

Bern has words for you! Chalk up Trump's third term, the progs have the party.

Lol, even dems own mainstream liberal hack news is telling them they need to get rid of their whackjob extremist radical libs.

The corrective measures in the Constitution are the courts, NOT the executive.

The corrective measures in the Constitution are the courts, NOT the executive.

The courts are not in charge of the executive.

The corrective measure is Congress writing far more specific laws and far more specific allocations instead of "here's money, do this, you figure it out"

Its why Trump is going to be able to end so much of this spending, the legislation creating most of it leaves too much to the executive to figure out.

Mainstream Americans don't really care about any social issues, they want good jobs and a strong economy.

Nonsense.

There are vast numbers of Moderate Democrats.

Unfortunately, despite their numbers, their hyper-Left counterparts are the most aggressive, vocal and controlling.

The tactics of the hyper-Left dictate that those who speak-up against their extremes are marginalized and ridiculed.

It's an effective tactic and I'll be curious to see if Moderate Democrats find the courage to retake their own Party.

I have very, very serious doubts that they have the ball$ and the brains to make that happen anytime soon.
All the democrat politicians are pretty much in lockstep with the far left from what I see.

Mainstream Americans don't really care about any social issues, they want good jobs and a strong economy.

Nope. it's all part of the same problem dems have.

Ignoring it just means it will continue to bite them in the ass.

Can Trump disregard SCOTUS decisions?

The corrective measure is Congress writing far more specific laws and far more specific allocations instead of "here's money, do this, you figure it out"
Agreed but it requires total agreement. That will happen right after pigs fly.

Its why Trump is going to be able to end so much of this spending, the legislation creating most of it leaves too much to the executive to figure out.
It is why Trump will spend so much time and effort fighting lawsuits. He is pushing Constitutional boundaries so Congress ( :laughing0301: ) or the courts will have to weigh in.

There are vast numbers of Moderate Republicans.

Unfortunately, despite their numbers, their hyper-Right counterparts are the most aggressive, vocal and controlling.

The tactics of the hyper-Right dictate that those who speak-up against their extremes are marginalized and ridiculed.

There is no “ Far Right “ in the Elected Republican Political Landscape but the Far Left virtually lords over the Elected Democrat Political Landscape .

There are very few moderate Democrats left in the Democrat party. At least among those who aspire for high office. They may talk a good game and get elected by pretending to be moderate, but once in office they almost all vote in lockstep with the radical left. That makes trust hard to come by.

The Krysten Senema's and Joe Manchins are now dinosaurs in the party and no longer welcome at the table.

Has he? So far, the only court actions have been district asshole judges over-stepping their boundaries.

He is restoring executive control to the executive branch. Roberts has already indicated where he will go if this gets to the SC.

What's the name of this so-called "centrist Dem group" OP?

BTW, do you believe there are "centrist" Democrats?
