Newly released emails reveal that top officials in the Trump administration went to great lengths to falsely label Kilmar Abrego Garcia as an MS-13 gang leader. This effort unfolded even as the administration faced mounting pressure to return Garcia to the U.S. after wrongly deporting him to El Salvador...

Nevertheless, Trump and his administration continued to call Garcia a gang member and even a terrorist. Vice President JD Vance went as far as labeling him a “high-level gang member in MS-13,” despite the emails showing no proof of such a claim.

The emails also expose efforts to falsely assert that Garcia was safe in the Salvadoran prison, CECOT. Reuveni raised concerns, asking for guarantees that Garcia wouldn’t be harmed, but received little assurance. The truth came out when Garcia confirmed he was tortured and beaten in the prison...

The whistle blowwe was of course fired.

The reason? “Failing to zealously advocate” for the administration’s position. In reality, his “crime” was insisting on sticking to the facts.

Even more disturbing, DOJ agreed to release an actual violent felon from custody in the U.S. for lying about Garcia.

YOu and I both know this is far from the whole story. If they are willing to fabricate evidence against one person they are willing to do it to anyone.

Fantastic AI material!

If that leaked email is real, it does not expose any "plot," to frame anyone.

This is James Percival, whoever that is,* asking for verification of the truthfulness of statements about Abrego Garcia, before they are made. In other words, trying to make sure statements are truthful. The opposite of framing.

Then someone** replies, explaining that it is verified that Abrego Garcia is a gang member, and that the removal was due to a good faith administrative error. Then advises not to overstep by mentioning items best left to State.

Didn't you read the email? That's exactly what it was? Next time, don't just read the headline.

*Do you know who James Percival is? I googled it, and all I got was a novel titled "James" by a guy named Percival. Is this story even real?

**The someone is redacted. Why would a leaked email be redacted? The point of leaking is to get information out that would be redacted otherwise. Who was "Percival" asking?

Are you positive that this is real?

Regardless of political stripe, the fact that the government is willing to go to such lengths to avoid just admitting, 'Hey, we made a mistake!" should be frightening.

If it can happen to Abrego-Garcia, it can happen to any one of us.

There is no mistake.

He was a criminal illegal with a final deportation order.

No mistakes were made.

Except they didn't make a mistake, he was judged by 3 immigration courts to be a gang member, a gang that has been declared a foreign terrorist organization. He was here illegally, the law says he should have been deported. The only possible mistake was not deporting him to a third party country, because he faced possible reprisals, from other gangs in his home country. The xiden regime cut him lose on human trafficking charges because they wanted illegals trafficked. They did it themselves, acting as a last mile delivery service for the cartels.

Holy crap.

Did...?

Did he...?

Did he just...?

Yes, yes, he did.

Those emails mean nothing. Just like that early intelligence assessment about the nuclear facility bombing Iran, they mean nothing if they are leaked out of context.

Trump really fucked up.

Garcia is going to walk and he's going to get some good money too.

More OMB crap from the leftards.

Lefties are losing their game. The emails don't support the claims being made.

If this is the best they've got they won't get picking up any ground before the midterms

The tragedy is that Biden allowed low life scumbags into the country, as if we didn't have enough of our own.

And Abrego Garcia is one of many falsely accused and illegally removed from the country.

Trump’s immigration agenda is motivated by racism, bigotry, and hate.

Nope. He was granted a stay of deportation and married an American. He was deported by mistake, and because Trump just can't admit that he made a mistake, the whole machinery of government is being used to crush a day laborer.

Hey, tell me again about how you guys are for freedom and the rule of law and limited government. That shit never gets old.

Really? Where was the conviction for gang activity?

When was he arrested, charged, and convicted by a jury of his peers.

You know, like Trump was in New York.

Merely being accused of something isn't proof.

Try reading what I actually wrote and respond to that. He's here illegally, his fate is decided by immigration courts.
