Once again, there was a hold on deportation.

The Trump Administration chose not to appeal, not to pursue 3rd country deportation, and issued him a legal work authorization with annual ICE check-ins. Which he complied with.

The funny thing is that if Trump Administration #45 and Trump Administration #47 had done things properly - Abrego Garcia would have been gone a long time ago. But by trying to smack a nail with a sledgehammer, now the case is in Federal Court and the Trump Administration is looking like Amature Hour at the local Cracker Barrel.
