Putin took Georgia under George W. Bush.

Are you going to say Bush was weak?

The August 2008 Russo-Georgian War, also known as the Russian invasion of Georgia, was a war waged against Georgia by the Russian Federation and the Russian-backed separatist regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
Joe Biden failed Ukraine. Now we are left to clean up the mess. Joe Biden was weak, feckless and corrupt.

Like the domino theory, it didn't start under Biden, it started under George W. Bush who didn't do anything to stop Russia's first invasion of Ukraine

People like excaliber would have abandoned our allies to Hitler in WWII.
With friends like him America doesn't need enemies.

On January 20, 1961, President John F. Kennedy delivered his inaugural address in which he announced that "we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and success of liberty."

It has nothing to do with who gets the "credit" the only person who cares about that is Trump. This conflict needs to end in a way that sends a message to Russia and other authoritarian countries that it is NOT OK to invade other countries just to take over their territory. Otherwise Taiwan is next and who knows what else.
Since Trump is actually trying to claim that Zelinskyy was the aggressor, he should insist that both nations return to and respect pre-2014 borders.

Ending hostilities would have the added bonus for the azzhole that it would make North Korean troops available for his invasion of Greenland or Panama or Canada or ...

Joe Biden sure was a failure

Trump has reversed America's position on the world stage.

On February 20th, 2025, President Donald J. Trump delivered his ultimatum to Ukraine telling them 'you shall pay any price, you alone will bear any burden, while the US will abandon any friend, conspire with any foe to assure the survival of Putin's hold over Russia.'

Trump thinks that Putin is going to hold to a peace agreement.

Spectacularly naive, of course, but that's Trump. And, he really doesn't give two shits about Ukraine, he just wants to roll with the big boys.

The big boys can't wait.

Putin was always going to get 90% of what he wants... its just a matter of when and how many people die before that happens... if you want Russia defeated then you must accept WW3... are you ready for WW3?... lets think ahead for a change as a nation...

I think these liberal, self-proclaimed brainiacs believe that Russia is just going to back out and give Ukraine all the land back. The reality is that the current options are to stop the aggression now and concede some land, or continue to spend billions with more deaths and let Russia take even more land and then concede that land at some point in the future. Had the Biden administration taken a hard line at the beginning of the war, much less land could be in play, if any. That ship has sailed, but ignorant, idealistic Democrats still don't get it.

Putin will hold to a peace agreement while Trump is in office. If a wimpy, idealistic Democrat takes the reigns next, all bets are off. Ideological fools will never learn.

You don't have the slightest idea of what you're talking about, just let the adults make these decisions and STFU.

Putin won't hold to any peace agreement.
But what will happen while Trump is in office. If Putin wants to change the deal and go from 90% to 95%, Trump would just give another 5% to Putin.

If Ukraine wants to join NATO, in order to put teeth behind the peace deal, if Putin doesn't want them in NATO, then Trump will veto it.

This is why Putin didn't need to use force while Trump was in office.

The adults believed Trump when he said he would end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours.

Spot on couldn't say it better myself...

Putin is losing on the economic front, not the battlefront.
Putin is begging North Korea and Iran for help.
And you can use nukes against economic sanctions.
You don't know what's going on in Russia... their economy is largely underground because of the mountains of sanctions put on them by Obama and Biden...
And you can't trust our media to tell us the truth... we know that now...

A beaten Russia is exactly how this conflict should end. With a clear message from the WORLD that it is not OK to invade sovereign countries without provocation.

An even better outcome would be for the people of Russia to react in a way to overthrow Putin and his murderous regime and install a government more representative of the needs of the people.
So you think Putin would surrender and give back the land he has taken??? don't hold your breath... its not going to happen... so knowing that why not make a deal now?... a deal that will last...

I'd like to see somebody hold his feet to the fire on some of his comments about Zelinsky... If Trump is going to claim that he was the aggressor, have him outline why and show the evidence. Because right now it just sounds like he is repeating Russian talking points that fly in the face most reporting.

I think if the world fought back against Putin. Provide Ukraine with the arms to defend itself and then cut Russia off to the world economically then he would have no choice but to surrender. We need to stand up for and fight for what is right and not let the bullies get away with their strong man tactics... otherwise they will continue to use them.

You really should quit while you know everything.

The coal industry in Russia is going bankrupt. The entire sector.

From January to September 2024, Russia's coal industry suffered losses totaling 91 billion rubles ($1 billion), with nearly half of enterprises operating at a loss. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak is set to review an industry assessment as the government considers sector-wide bankruptcies.
