Fortunately, everyone safely off the plane from Atlanta. The nose came to rest just through the fence at the bay. La Guardia is closed until 7 tonight.

Just listening to the dispatcher audio, it states and confirms flight was inbound with ruptured wing and fuel leak. Surely that can't be right??

I fly into LGA all the time. I have no problem with it at all. I'd rather go out of there than JFK or EWR.

Chit happens, people. I'm pleased that there were only minor injuries, and it wouldn't surprise me if those folks filed some kind of suit against the airline. I work in the industry, in Alaska. Not every airport is as prepared as those where such weather conditions are dealt with regularly.
