Having a rifle and passing through crowds of people is incredibly provocative.
If had been there, on either side, I would have hit him on the back of the head and turned his rifle over to the police.
It was criminally dangerous for him to bring the rifle into a heated crowd.
He not only must have known that, but had done it intentionally, to intimidate.

Yes, but the police and fire departments weren't doing their jobs----they weren't allowed hence why the criminals were so upset Kyle and the others for filling in. As a mother, I hate that the kids had to stand in for the cops...but part of me is very very proud of the boy. I wouldn't have allowed my kids/grands to go.

It is no accident that all three had criminal records, I would expect them too given their actions that day. I agree based on the actions of that day and them attacking him, he had every right to shoot them regardless of their criminal history. (But I still think killing off pedophiles is an excellent bonus. )

When you are illegally carrying a firearm in public you don't have the right to shoot anybody. If you are licensed, that's a different story. The state does give you that right. My position is not whether he did this or that, my stance is he shouldn't have been there in the first place knowing there was trouble and taking a gun with him.
