Not the same thing as a civil case, where all they have to prove is that Rittenhouse acted recklessly.
You see, the problem with the criminal case is that it was ONLY limited to the moments of the shootings. A civil case can and will look at the entirety of Rittenhouses actions, including getting the gun, crossing state lines, etc.
More to the point, there are other parties that hold joint liability, such as the City of Kenosha or perhaps even Facebook for allowing the Kenosha Militia to organize on their pages. Juries love people with deep pockets.
