Kroger to Strip Benefits of the Unvaccinated

So when the lines get longer and customer service suffers, then we will see what happens. Also, the union could fight Kroger on the issue as it treats their members different. Interesting move, we will see what happens.

Let’s see if they start treating customers differently.
And there you have it. Money talks.

In the same vein, I have to wonder if sme businesses are being offered different packages at different costs by their insurers. "Get rid of the unvaxxed, and we lower your premiums"

We have Kroger in my area. I will let them know why I am boycotting them

I am going one further. I am boycotting any UFCW represented grocery chain (Safeway/Albertsons, Yoke's, Roseauers). I they won't represent one, they won't represent the others either. By boycotting the bunch of them you can use one from the democrats own book by bringing pressure to bear from all sides. This government/insurance/employer intervention in private health care decisions has got to come to an end.

Word up, kiddos: Covid isn't airborne Ebola or the Bubonic plague. Take your pills and potions, cross your heart and do a "Hail Mary", the current vaccines are like that. Don't mandate we cross ourselves or consume the eye of newt, wing of bat from a cauldron. Because if it actually works, that's just coincidence. The current vaccine efficacy and the mandate is like that.

No Krogers here . If there were I'd boycott their asses. Hope some will do that for them.

Hell we cut up our Costco card because they went full Nazi on the dang mask. That is just how we roll.

Oh well. Dang Nazi fuckers.

Interesting point....Where the **** is UFCW in this?

Does the phrase "apples and oranges" mean anything to you?

Probably not, because you're a ******* dope.
Kroger has a religion which requires employees to get vaccinated.

Kroger has at least a dozen different regional nameplates....Smith's, King Soopers, City Market, Ralph's, Pic-n-Save, Fred Meyer.....

United Food & Commercial Workers (UFCW) is a very large union in the US and they represent Kroger employees. If they allow this to happen to their employees without litigation, then they are failing their members.

Don't have any of those here except pic n save. Don't go there anyway. Easy boycott for me. I already boycott them lol

And there you have my point about equal protection.

UFCW members are entitled to equal protection, no matter which store they work for.

I'd rather see Krogers ban food stamps.Us upscale shoppers shouldn't have to put up those vermin.People on food stamps should have their own designated store.

Oddball By boycotting other UFCW employers, it brings pressure to bear from Kroger's peers and, indirectly, support from their union colleagues under other employers.

Why should Kroger have to cover idiots making bad decisions?
Oh, because Kroger Management loves lies, or maybe they are caving in to corrupt insurance company. The richest people are either part of the conspiracy, or they are cowards that cave in to pressure.

Kroger took over Fred Meyer stores some time ago. Their first big move was to drop many of the house-brand "Fred Meyer" products and substitute the Kroger house brand. Typically of lower quality than those which they replaced.

While packaging size remained the same the amount of content tended lower.

Prices are going up more rapidly than at the nearby Safeway.

Surprisingly the local store is having trouble maintaining staff - some defecting for better conditions at....are you REALLY ready for this???? Walmart.

Want cash back when you use your bank debit card? Pay a fee at Kroger. Do your shopping at the nearby Safeway and there's no fee.

The nearest Walmart is sufficiently distant that it's not worth the potential saving on groceries unless there are other items needed that can't be gotten closer to home. I can't speak to the relative pricing/quality of Walmart groceries but perhaps someone on the board can. Oh, and if someone does, have you noticed whether they have a fee for "cash back" on debit card purchases.

From some not-so recent experience I'd rate the quality of fresh produce best at Safeway, close second at Walmart and a poor (I call it "time saving pre-rotted" at Kroger. It does cost a little lest but the saving comes in the time you save in waiting for it to reach the "throw it out of here, it stinks" stage.
