Kimmel Needs to Go

MAGA doesn’t believe in freedom of speech.
I don't see anyone advocating that Congress pass legislation preventing Kimmel from being a jerk. Tell us, what does freedom of speech mean to you?

Well, this is an example of an off color joke by Kimmel as was the time that he made comments about Charlie Kirk’s death and then you look at all the people on the left who made YouTube videos cheering and mocking Charlie Kirk’s death. Many of your late night talk show host have made all kinds of off colored comments about Trump and Republicans and I admit that the right does too, but it doesn’t appear to be as nearly to the extreme that the left does it.
The general level of conversation has deteriorated to mid 1800s levels. It would be nice if all parties ratchet back, but that requires all parties, including Trump.

This MFKER needs to be fired immediately. He's not funny, he's mean and nasty.
That was over the top even if the dinner shooting hadn't happened. At some point, it goes too far. If Kimmel has any decency whatsoever he would at least apologize. Somewhere deep inside I would hope that's he's not as disgusting a person as he appears to be right now. I could very well be wrong on that.

Getting people fired for exercising their 1st Amendment rights is OK with you?

Is it, though. Trump has said some vile things.

How about when he said that he was glad Mueller was dead?

Or when he made jokes about the vicious attack by a MAGA supporter on Nancy Pelosi's husband.
What about it? Nothing as vicious as what Kimmel said. We're never going to agree. we'll see what ABC does.

So?

You're mixing two things that are not alike. See, here is where the wheels fall off your tricycle. The 1st Amendment prevents the GOVERNMENT from silencing your speech. It has nothing to do with a private business firing you for opening your yap and embarrassing them or costing them money. IOW, you can say what you want and the government can't stop you. Try to do that when you're on the clock and you can lose your job. What, did you think a store would keep you on if you kept telling customers they would get a better deal at the store across the street?

1. You stand on a street corner, screeching that TRUMP! is a doody-head. Protected speech, no one is going to show up and throw you in jail to silence you.

2. You make public statements that cost your employer money and reputation. NOT protected speech and you full well can be fired, and if you've violated a contract, prosecuted.

Do you see the difference now?

I've watched a few clips.
You're right ... humor is subjective.
I don't find him the least bit funny or entertaining but that's partially because I view him as the biggest asshole on TV.
He is not a Carson, Letterman or Leno, and his ratings prove that.

He is not as funny as SNL in my opinion but I don’t find SNL funny either. I like Mom, The Neighborhood, Clarke & Dow, The Office, and there is a sitcom on basketball, don’t remember the name, then Chad Powers.

He didn’t. The DoJ did what it’s supposed to do and prosecute people to break the law, some of which happen to be Republican.

These corrupt republicans attempted to hide their criminality by creating a story about weaponization. Some people were foolish enough to believe it.

Admit it, most of the prosecution that the left has put on Trump has been political in nature you know it. Plus you have the fact that the Bible White House was colluding social social media to silence conservatives.

Trump coordinating with ABC to fire Kimmel wouldn’t be a violation of the first amendment?

“Admit it”?

No. The DoJ investigation and prosecution was about uphold the law and protecting the country.

I don’t think someone gets to try and steal an election, wiping out millions of votes, and nothing happens.
