50 years may seem like a long time ago to you, but discounting the millions killed due to US intervention might indicate a lack of intelligence.

50 years is a long time. Especially when discussing something like changing perceptions in what is acceptable in warfare.

2. having a strong leader who is respected by Russia is equally critical. In case it's slipped your mind, the United States shares a border with Russia via Alaska. If Putin senses weakness in our leadership, he might not hesitate to sacrifice thousands of lives to see how much of Alaska he could seize. Hopefully, we’ll never again experience leadership that lacks the resolve needed to stand firm against such threats.

This is just dumb. The chances of Russia launching a land war against the US in Alaska are zero. Russia can’t conquer Ukraine so they are going to attack the world’s biggest super power…….

BTW there is no land connection between Russia and Alaska. The Bering Straight freezes in the winter but is typically not safe to even walk across due to currents and storms breaking up the ice. Somehow I doubt the Russian Army would make it across the 51 miles in the dead of winter and the US just not bomb the ice and put them in the water
