Kid arrested for having a $2 bill

It happened eight years ago, but it did happen.hd

Thanks......I suppose if you need to search for something it would be nice to have a source with the correct names attached to it.

You know, I don't really know how the 2 dollar bill came about, tubes.
My understanding is that they were produced to be used for horse racing bets. The last iteration that was released in 1976 was more of a nostalgic commemorative issue. They changed the graphics on the back of last issue.

That a very cool thing for your mom to do.

I have a half dozen of them. You got them first day and took them to the post office where they placed a stamp and ran it through the machine to note it was a first day release.

Today it's still worth $2. LOL

That's what I heard--- that so much more these days fell within the $1.01-$2.00 range rather than the $0.01-$1.00 range that someone reasoned that it was time for a $2 bill (to replace the $1 bill), but they never caught on. I don't think the mint even prints them anymore.

I’m not sure where to post this, so I thought Garage would be good.

Bunch of retards with too much power.

All too young and stupid to know they were real for a short period of time

Teachers dont even know it...

Pfft

I have two- a 2003 and a 2017. So they were still producing them pretty recently anyway.

In Portland that's what the strip clubs give you when you break a $100. :p

/—-/ Yes they are still printed.

They are popular at Christmas time per my bank who only really orders them with their currency then, but you can get them to order them anytime you want. Usually takes a day or two to be available if they don't have any on hand.

/---/ If you order a bundle that is direct from the Treasury, they may be in sequential order. Stick it in a safe deposit box or safe. Wait 30 years. The Treasury is no longer producing any bills in sequential order.

I think it was the result of inflation in another era. That the one-dollar note was given way to the two dollar note.
