I picked this up at a garage sale a couple weeks ago for $30. It was missing the cylinder pin but I ordered one on Ebay for about $12. It came with both the .22 LR and .22 magnum cylinders and a box of CCI MIni-Mag HP ammo. When I shot it, I was getting a lot of light primer strikes on both .22 LR and .22 magnum, so I went online to see what would cause that. The quick fix was to insert a small metal washer between the mainspring and the grip frame, and that fixed the problem. It's pretty much on target at 25 yards but I'm thinking of having the top strap drilled and tapped for a scope mount and putting a red dot sight on it.

Thank goodness Ruger came out with the low cost Wrangler.....So people would quit buying those POS RR revolvers.

That said I would have bought it for $30.00 too. ;)

I've got an H&R 22/22 Mag that, with the exception of the grips, looks identical to that one. I've had it for close to 30 years and its always been a good gun for me.

I never would have bought one at the retail cost of about $150-170 dollars either. The frame is made of a zinc alloy which is basically pot metal. The girl I bought it from wanted $100 at first but I finagled her down to $30.

I also found an 80's era Connecticut Valley Arms muzzle-loading squirrel rifle with two barrels that weekend, .32 caliber and .45 caliber. It's my understanding that those came in a "combo" with the two barrels. I see a few of them on gunbroker with one barrel or the other, but not both, usually around $400. I gave $50 for it.

Passed on a 40's era Remington 514 single-shot .22 this last weekend. The woman wanted $250 and I got her down to $180, which was still more than I would have paid. It was in nice shape but someone had it drilled and tapped and put a crappy Simmons scope on it. I just don't need a single-shot .22.

At 25 yards? Eh..I've seen worse, but I've seen better, too. But seriously, how far is someone going to shoot with a pistol?

I would have passed on the CVA too....They had terrible ignition issues with the drum where the nipple screwed into.

I would have also passed on the 541, I despise the safety on those.

As far as you can, when you're shooting paper targets or tin cans. That's the fun of it. ;)

Is it true that before reading your post, itself, and based on the headline, the dainty got all excited because he was thinking it was his ribbed dildo?

He’d deny it but, then again, he is a compulsive liar.
