There is a pretty stark pattern here. Take a look at which states are the top of the migration gain and which are at the bottom with the most migration out. It isn't hard to see who has been doing things the right way and who has been doing things the wrong way...

Kans ass is the real shit hole.

I actually moved to Kansas from California.

I lived in Antioch for six years.

We left because:

1. All my friends were moving out (nobody seemed to say long).
2. They were getting ready to go to year round schools. The place was growing but they would not build any new schools. They could not even guarantee that any family with more than two kids would have their kids on the same schedule.
3. The politics were awful.
4. Contra Costa county was one of the worst places in the country for allergies.

When we arrived in Johnson County Kansas our kids went to a school that had just opened up. A new school was being constructed just down the street. Shawnee Mission schools had a great reputation and did a great job. Blue Valley and Olathe School districts are also top notch.
