The amazing thing about the Supreme Court is they need no law knowledge or law experience to be appointed, and perhaps that is not needed. The Court with few exceptions votes their politics. Thomas, for example, was appointed to vote one way and Thomas votes that way. There is no real need for Justices to read briefs, listen to oral arguments, study the Constitution they almost to a man, or woman, vote their politics. What is amazing that on occassion a justice breaks free from of his political obligations and votes differently and it is this justice that gives Americans some confidence in the Court. Is Roberts one of those justices?
Perhaps some day a case will be fed into a computor and out will come a nonpolitical decision regarding the Constitution?
