The government knows who you are and what you are up to, they just don't care most of the time.

That's mighty nice of them.

But it's not good enough.

Since sometimes government isn't so nice, we have made laws saying they are FORBIDDEN to know that stuff about us.

Unless they can get a warrant from a judge. And they have to show that judge Probable Cause for believing you are committing a crime, before he can issue that warrant.

The 4th amendment is the main such law. And there are others.

The government has been violating that law more and more.

And for that, we don't just decide the law isn't relevant any more. Instead, we must decide that the people violating the law, must go to jail.

I remember when Liberals were for civil liberties. They pushed back on Nixon's attempt to spy on people, etc. Now they're merely fascists.
