Shouldn't be , false court cases are costly to those that present them. Harassment / vengeance is costly. .

.
Actually Comey should put in a claim like Trump or Flynn did for unwarranted prosecution.
Trump wants $250 million, and Flynn requested and got $1.25 million
The Comey case should be worth at least $200 million.
Same should go for Leticia James, Jerome Powell, and the rest of the people on Trump's enemies list that the DOJ went after.

Contributors to his legal defense fund.

Eventually the tax payers when he sues in court and the court awards attorney fees and court costs.

He doesn't get any costs (that's in civil cases) he would have to put in a claim to the justice department like Michael Flynn did.

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) agreed to a $1.25 million settlement with former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn to resolve a lawsuit regarding his prosecution for lying to the FBI,

Sorry if I made is sound automatic, to clarify, when the case is dismissed his attorney can sue for malicioius & frivolous prosecution for an attorney fee award.

The ass kicking the administration is about to get by the judge will be fun. ON the positive this means this is literally the best they could do against one of Trump's favorite political enemies.
Maybe they can trick Comey into throwing a subway hero at somebody.

And in the usual Trump fashion (look at the E. Jean Carroll case) they will drag it out with appeal after appeal, motion after motion. That even if they lose at every step, they won't stop until they take it to the USSC (and years later). hoping the person might give up trying to collect. Or die of old age waiting for the case to go through every level of the courts.

Regarding E. Jean Carroll.

My understanding that with her passing the award doesn't go away, it goes to her heirs. If Trump passes the award is still due. And since the money is in a secured bond account, it's not going away so Trump's heirs can't stop payment.

True, but it also means that E. Jean Carroll (unless she lives long enough) will never get to enjoy a dime of the settlement due her..
Remember it's Trumps M.O. that even if he has to pay much more in the end. It was worth it, by inflicting the suffering on the person suing him.

It's all about his megalomaniac ego, and not his pocketbook.
