Just saw Lincoln. Amazing film.

I shall take that under advisement.
Have seen a few negative reviews.

See it just for the attention to detail.

The one thing I hate about historical films..is that they speak "modern".

Right down to the dialogue..this film nails the period.

John Williams did the score...as well.

Another huge plus.

If this film nailed it as you said they would have used the exact words that would have been used at the time. Because words from the 19th century have a different meaning than they do today.

Best way to determine that..is to view it yourself.

What detail?

It was the little things..like paying attention to the fashions at the time, the hair styles and the mannerisms.

That and the cast was amazing.

Sally Fields really nailed Mary Todd.

As did everyone in their roles.

the hair styles and the mannerisms.

You mean men acted like men? They didn't walk around praising Muslims?

They didn't want to suck off their acquaintances after smoking a big-long blunt?

Dear God.

How quaint.

No I don't get into fiction.

The low indoor lighting emphasized that the only light came from candles, lanterns, and fireplaces. In a couple of scenes the only sound was from a ticking clock. All this detail added to the authenticity.

i think its pretty funny that asshats like warbler, bigrube et al are afraid they'll catch liberal cooties from a movie. :lmao:
