The surveillance video is difficult to watch.
It doesnt represent the Black Lives Matter movement in whole but you can bet Black Youths and others will continue to use the slogan to Justify violence.
I did not watch the video.
I have seen enough of those sickening attacks. All I can do is shake my head.
That is why I find it so depressing that so many people took part in the Insurrection marches three weeks ago.
Some of those people (or their loved ones) may someday find themselves a victim of such attacks.
At least some of those marchers will rue the day that they supported the Insurrection. They knew not what they did.
We had such high hopes for our country in the 1960s. Instead the behavior of some people has become worse and more brazen. Their attitude is: We can do what we want. And they are right.

Seriously, Mason? You don't believe the attack was racially motivated? What we have here is a man who did not even try to defend himself. I wonder if his girlfriend had been along, would he have fought back then, to defend her? To save her life? Almost seems like "Mason" felt like he deserved the beating. Sickening.

This time we were talking about the "seeing crime" aspect. If you are the victim of a crime there is no better witness than a high quality security camera acting as a passive neutral witness. We've already witnessed the horrors of a near completely disarmed Europe. Some poor bastards over there are so desperate for means to protect their children they're building crossbows and other primitive weapons while criminals continue to kill them with hi-tech firearms. It's like fucking spears versus bullets, cavemen versus Kalashnikov. And that's exactly where many of our elected leaders wish us Americans to be as well: deep in some forest, surrounded by wolves, readily eatable.

Get out of the city, then. In the long run you will be freed on video tape evidence supporting you, ESPECIALLY in many parts of Tennessee. And unbiased store surveillance is better than cellphone as the jury does not have to decide motive of the person holding the camera. You know TN is stand your ground state. Nobody said it will even be cheap. But you might not live through taking on 4 attackers, so it is preventable, whether you are forced to shoot or not. You would be well advised to not let yourself have the $hit beat out of you because you are too afraid of getting caught defending yourself. Much better to be tried by 12 peers in Tennessee than carried by 6 friends and family members one last time. Why do you think we have the law?I live in TN.Move.
