June 29th Stock Market Update and Outlook

I guess the tariff instability that have so rattled markets has eased considerably, at least for my portfolio, which is higher now than at anytime during the start of Trump's term.

Same same. The next couple of months will be interesting.

We’re doing great. The S&P 500 is up about 6% this year after just a few months ago Democrats said there will be a collapse. There was a collapse in 2022 under Joe Biden the S&P 500 lost 20%. A horrible horrible year. Not this time. Hell we’re on track to maybe even make 20 points or more this year. Let’s see what happens. I got into AMD and super micro computer at a low price back in April. !!

The trade deficit dropped by half, canceling out the alleged 'drop in GDP' by a long shot. Only idiots will claim the drop in the trade deficit is 'bad'. The renegotiation will pay for themselves by the end of the year. High productivity jobs are moving back, which in turn means our tax base will jump in a few years, higher paying jobs means more disposable income for local retailers, allowing a reduction in taxes overall to individuals. OF course this is why the commies and assorted deviants hate it. Red China has never honored any trade agreements in the past, and won't in the future, so forget them. Companies are moving to India and the SE Asian sweatshops. Red China will in turn threaten its neighbors and everybody else with war, same as it has been the last few years as its economy tanks. The slave labor addicts are going to have a tough ride in the future, which is good; it's time they were bankrupted and wiped out. Hopefully Apple stock and the rest go to zero. There are plenty of small companies and startups that will grow like gangbusters without those big corps crushing them with frivolous lawsuits and fake patent claims.

lol Nvidia is selling at around 150-160, and pays a wopping 4 cents a year in dividends. I hope the Big Seven collapse entirely, like the fake bubbles they and their AI lunacy are. They remind me of the Tulip Bubble and the South Sea Bubble.

Picaro is defending a strawman, so ignore him again.

By the end of August, we can start evaluating problems with the tariffs.

And welcome back, Picaro!

lol you probably hate reality like the rest of the left wingers.

And you will hate the positive results same as now.

And welcome back, Picaro!

Not for long. The mods here hate posters who make pedophiles cry and snivel. They also like to invent new 'racial slurs', like claiming 'Jap' is a slur. lol who knows what the tards will dream up next.

If the results are positive, OK, but that is very unlikely,

I dislike only a few people, really,

Your definitions on what is what is often off. That's what I think gets you in trouble.

How long were you visiting away?

At the beginning of the year, economists (due to Trump's promise of tax cuts that always stimulate growth at first) thought that GDP growth would be 5%. Now they believe it is going to be 2%. The latter is what is happening as:

The current year-over-year rate for real GDP is at 1.99%, the lowest since Q4 2022, according to Advisor Perspectives.

As far as comparing Trump to other presidents, here is a chart that shows the statistics

Eventually our 3 decades of living beyond our means is going to catch up with us, and that's no matter whether team D or team R is in charge.

True. And the only way to fix it is to bring back high productivity jobs and industries, and put the brakes on 'private equity' scams and 'financial' scams where it's more lucrative to bankrupt companies than operate them.

Such manufacturing, Picaro, is not going to come back as you want.

It is already growing, so you're wrong. The next problem is getting rid of illegals and assorted traitors and deviants, and getting the population back down to where it would be in 1p70, without all the feral savages migrating and dragging down the system. Thomas Jefferson was fine with deporting traitors and garbage, so we should be, too. He made no distinctions between 'born here' or not.

As for myself we should deport most Democrats, and, being a liberal, I'm fine with letting in genuine contributors with families and setting them up in the houses and belongings left behind by the scum being deported, but probably the majority of real Americans aren't that liberal so it is still an open issue. There are some pretty decent South Americans, it's just a problem when 'activists' are online encouraging all the criminals and deadbeats to flood in and overwhelm the system and screws over those who do it legally.

With robotics, we can easily produce way more than did in WW II and after with fewer people than we had back then even. A population of around 160 million would be good, 120,000,000 would be better.

WE fought a world war on three fronts, and almost fully supplied a fourth front with a domestic population of a little less than 133,000,000, and that with a much lower tech level than is possible now.

No, Picaro, it will not come back in any significant amount to drastically change the way you want.

Excuse me, but can robots do this?

A lot of ag is already automated, even picking blueberries. It''s merely a matter of investment, and illegal labor retards progress on that front. And besides, harvest seasons here only last maybe 20 weeks tops, so no need to be importing 10's of millions of feral savages; the vast majority of them are not picking crops anyway, so that's a red herring. We were somehow managing not to starve to death in the 1940's and 1950's without massive waves of illegals, and in any case actvists like Cesar Chavez and most American latinos didn't support illegal immigration. You probably can't guess why, and don't care, it's all about fashion with leftists anyway.

Here is an article, from back when left wingers opposed illegal immigration and labor racketeering. Used to be a lot of articles from Farm activists and organizers around, but most of the sites have closed down now.

Now of course the more violent and criminal they are the better left wingers like it.

Crop row labor is necessary if you want cheaper prices.

No, it isn't; the macro-economic costs end up coming out of the pockets of tax payers and the citizens who get shut out of jobs and get lower wages as a result of labor racketeering. The waiting rooms of my County charity hospital is always crammed with illegals waiting for treatment; it's a death trap for babies and the elderly with all the diseases floating around that haven;t been screened for by legal immigration authority.

Yes, it is, or it would not have evovled as it is.

Nobody wants to pay higher prices.

You really need to do some research other than research that supports your way of thinking. Facts are facts and you have to be aware of them to survive. Living in a fantasy world only works for short-periods of time before it collapses on you.

AI Overview

In 2024, foreign-born workers made up
22.0% of the workforce in service occupations. Foreign-born workers were also more likely than native-born workers to be employed in these occupations.

None of these jobs can be done by robots.

Oh and by the way and talking about American born citizens...........where are they going to work and get an income to feed their families, if robots take over? Who will have money to pay for what the robots build?

Ever thought of that?

Do you honestly believe that a nation can survive with only the rich living in it?
