A state judge ruled on Wednesday that Texas can remove Planned Parenthood from its Medicaid program, preventing those enrolled from using the program to get nonabortion services from the organization.

This is going to hurt Lamborghini sales in Texas

The ruling jeopardizes comprehensive reproductive health-care access for nearly 4 million people.

“This is devastating news for the millions of people who rely on Title X for cancer screenings, HIV tests, affordable birth control, and other critical primary and preventive care,” Dr. Leana Wen, Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s president and CEO, said in a statement

The Supreme Court will win the decision.

Welcome to Afghanistan on the Pecos. The moronic state government will stop at nothing to turn their state into a primitive theocracy presided over by lunatics. Who cares if thousands of Texans are deprived of basic healthcare? Who cares about Texans' rights to their own bodies, to their freedom of religion, to their entitlement to enjoy liberty? abbott, paxton, and most of the state's legislature are scumbags.

That ruling was two years ago.....doesn't seem like it's hurt much of anything

Not quite sure how this keeps anyone from getting healthcare....the State can just not allow state funds to go to one particular provider

Yeah, throw the burden on poor people, who are basically powerless and lack connections. Moreover, explain the legitimate basis for this decision to exclude PP. It seems like there isn't any. This foolishness is based totally on abbott's personal prejudices.

Where in the Constitution does it say a private organization is entitled to have its funding padded with our tax dollars?

Huh? of finding a healthcare provider? when did they not have the burden to find one? and why shouldnt they have to find one like everyone else? Just because they are poor doesn't mean they get everything handed to them......but if you know someone have them check out this free website, that has provide a list and contact information of a number of FREE clinics, that aren't political, in Texas: Clinics in Texas | Free Health Clinics in Texas

I honestly can't tell you the reason these lawmakers were thinking.....personally I can think of some a couple reasons they might.....but I can't speak for these lawmakers

Abbot is the Gov not a member of the state legislature....he didn't draft this bill

Your concept of "entitlement" would apply to all private organizations whose activities someone does not approve of, including such organizations as those adoption organizations that refuse to work with LGBTs who wish to adopt a child. We all have our wish list of what we want our funds to go to and what we do not want our funds to go to; every one of us, but if you get to choose, than everybody does.

Politicians like abbott have no right to force their particular beliefs on all people. Here, this moron and his cronies are willing to sacrifice the health and interests of a large group of Texans just to force their beliefs on others who do not share them. This is a gross abuse of their offices to attempt to establish a theocracy run by their own religious sect.

Think about it, if Texas citizens did not approve of PP, then this organization would have no patients.

You didn't answer my question.
