Yeah, Jerry Sandusky's sexual assaults and the apparent years of covering up the bastard's crimes by Penn State officials cost the university dearly. In June 2012, Sandusky was found guilty on forty-five counts of sexual abuse of ten boys. He was sentenced to a minimum of thirty years in prison to a maximum of sixty years.

Sandusky's victims had received over $109 million in settlements paid to them by Penn State, as of January 2018.

Further investigation into Penn State’s actions around Sandusky found that Penn State leaders showed “total and consistent disregard” for victims and covered up the assaults of a serial sexual predator as early as 1998. The investigation named head football coach Joe Paterno, as well as university president Graham Spanier, senior vice president for finance and business Gary Schultz, and athletic director Tim Curley.

After being tried and found guilty, former Penn State officials Tim Curley, Gary Schultz and Graham Spanier were all sentenced to jail time for failing to alert authorities to the allegations against ex-football coach Jerry Sandusky, allowing the man eventually convicted as serial predator to continue molesting boys for years. Spanier, Curley, and Schultz were sentenced to varying terms of imprisonment, probation, and fines. In the end, all three individuals were given two years of probation, two-hundred hours of community service, and fines. Spanier was fined $7,500, while Schultz and Curley were fined $5,000.

As for Head Coach Joe Paterno, he lucked out and died before his personal knowledge of Sandusky’s offenses and his part in the cover-up could be determined by investigators.

Duggar, the devout Christian is like so many other devout Christians, he just cannot follow the many teachings of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His interpretations of the Holy Scriptures obviously leaves room for child pornography.

Duggar’s conviction can bring him up to forty total years in prison. Whether that time incarcerated will cure him of his child porn proclivity, or offer him the opportunity to reinterpret more of Christ’s teaching to permit him to engage in pedophilia upon his release is anyone’s guess. But those possible forty years behind bars will definitely protect his children from any unwanted touching he could have committed.

Unfortunately, by his release date, he could have grandchildren and great-grandchildren to victimize.
