John Kerry: Unfit for Service

So the soldiers whom Kerry relied on for his testemony did not want to incriminate themselves. At least in all but one case. Fact of the matter is Kerry didn't make it up. Some of those soldier may very well have, or at least embellished their war horror stories.
Many of the "witnesses" were never in combat.

They lied. Period. Only a fool would believe the WS testimony.

If that were the case why didn't the Army CID investigation give that as it's conclusion to their allegations?

They did. They just put it in nicer language.

They did, actually. I believe only one investigation found allegations to be true. The rest were uncorroborated, or the witness was not present where he said he was.

They lied. Period. Only a fool would believe the WS testimony.

John Kerry: A Hate-America Veteran Reporting For Duty
December 22, 2012

Notably, President Obama made no mention of what occurred after KerryÂ’s military service and before his political career. Perhaps this is because what Kerry did during that time would be difficult even for an adroit wordsmith like Obama to summarize with just a pithy phrase or two of adulation.

The historical record informs us that not only has John Kerry been on the wrong side of every major foreign policy issue for most of his adult life, including Iraq, Nicaragua and most recently in Syria, but he has routinely engaged in deception to conceal his folly. WhatÂ’s worse, Kerry has a clear record of giving aid and comfort to AmericaÂ’s enemies, all the while never missing an opportunity to viciously trash our brave forces fighting against them.

Are there really that many Vietnam Vets left on active duty to care at this point?

I think Kerry wouldn't be a good choice, necessarily.

There is some antagonism between him and the armed forces.

But anyone who doesn't like it is more than welcome to resign their commissions.

Elections have consequences, and the GOP fucked up by not listening to sensible people that told them Romney was a horrible pick.

Your question shows just how stupid you are. There are enough posts in this thread to provide the information needed to understand the issue.

Obviously, you lack the educational skills to do so. Everything you stated confirms you live in a delusional world.

When Hacks come out to play.

Losers who couldn't qualify for military service disparage a hero.

This government was created to be governed by civilians not the military. We do not have to please the military with our policies, and I think the military understands that. This is probably emphasized and reemphasized to the military and at the academies. Maybe we should emphasize it to the civilian population also?

Real heroes don't abandon their duty (especially duty they volunteered for) and their crew when things get a little warm. I think they are best known as cowards.

Yes, Kerry is a hero...to the Communists in Vietnam. And to American progressives, who also supported the Communists in Vietnam.

To normal people?

Not so much.

You have to forgive Joe. He wept bitterly when the Berlin Wall came down.

The military made the rules and Kerry abided by the rules. I don't know about Vietnam but I bet a number of military would take the opportunity to leave Vietnam, warm or not.

These were taken at a friend's funeral after he died from an agent orange related cancer.
Note the 3 Purple Hearts which he actually earned. Nobody offered him a trip home and he certainly didn't go around whinning and begging to get one. As a matter of fact he extended an extra 6 month because he didn't want to leave his men in the shit storm without him to help. He was a man.

John Kerry, decorated American combat veteran!

First Purple Heart
Kerry crewmates Bill Zaladonis and Patrick Runyon dispute Schachte's 2004 account. Zaladonis stated that "Myself, Pat Runyon, and John Kerry, we were the only ones in the skimmer."[18] Runyon added, "Me and Bill aren't the smartest, but we can count to three." They recounted that the skimmer opened fire on suspected guerrillas attempting to evade the patrol, as they ran from sampan boats onto the shore. Both Runyon and Zaladonis believe, but are not completely certain, that the skimmer received return hostile fire; Runyon commented, "It was the scariest night of my life." Runyon also stated that he is "100 percent certain" that no one on the boat fired a grenade launcher.[19][20] Zaladonis has noted that Schachte went on "a bunch of" other skimmer missions and speculated that Schachte might have inadvertently mixed up his dates.[21]

Bronze Star
Several other witnesses insist that there was hostile fire during the incident. Jim Rassmann, the Special Forces captain Kerry rescued, wrote, "Machine-gun fire erupted from both banks of the river. … When I surfaced, all the Swift boats had left, and I was alone taking fire from both banks. To avoid the incoming fire, I repeatedly swam under water." Del Sandusky, the driver on Kerry's boat, PCF-94, stated, "I saw the gun flashes in the jungle, and I saw the bullets skipping across the water." Wayne Langhofer, who manned the machine gun on Don Droz's PCF-43, stated, "There was a lot of firing going on, and it came from both sides of the river."[2] Michael Medeiros, aboard PCF-94, recalled "a massive ambush. There were rockets and light machine gun fire plus small arms." Jim Russell, the Psychological Operations Officer of the unit, who was on PCF-43, wrote "All the time we were taking small arms fire from the beach… Anyone who doesn't think that we were being fired upon must have been on a different river."[32]

Silver Star
The only member of SBVT who was present that day, Larry Clayton Lee, has stated he believes Kerry earned the Silver Star.[4]

Another eyewitness, William Rood, a former Chicago Tribune editor, in a 2004 article gave an account that supports Kerry's version of the events of that day. Rood was commander of PCF-23, which was one of the two Swift Boats that accompanied Kerry's PCF-94.

If Kerry hadn't entered politics he would just be another vet, and if he hadn't criticized the Vietnam war he would just be another vet. It was Kerry's entry into politics and running for president that the opposition had to dig up something to deflate the hero business, and with T.Boone Picken's millions they thought they had found it. To me Kerry is just another vet, true a vet that criticized a war that needed to be criticized.

Then why are you quoting what you are quoting?

To further confirm that Vietnam war atrocities took place for a fact, and were directly and/or indirectly sanctioned by U.S. military command. In other words, John Kerry was correct.

Senator John Kerry would be an excellent Secretary of Defense - if he wants it. He understands the horror of war.

Kerry lied. I guess you can not read and comprehend. You personify stupidity. Ass wipe

Kerry was a disgrace to the uniform and to his fellow military men and women..

Obama appointing him is another slap in our face..
