The Taliban greatest advocate was Benedict Donald and his refusal to enforce the conditions of the so called conditional withdrawal on the Taliban before he withdrew most all of our troops. Forcing Biden's hand to either go back to war with the Taliban or cut our losses and withdraw the final 2500 troops.

The insurrectionist Novell Republicans wanted to overturn the certified EC election using what Stalin called "useful idiots" Aka, rioters dumb enough to overrun the Capitol while Congress was in the once every four year joint session of Congress where they count the states certified EC votes. Disrupting that process was part of the plan after Pence refused to back the coup plot.
