President Biden is reportedly planning the first major hike in federal taxes in almost 30 years to fund the economic program set to follow the recently approved $1.9 trillion pandemic stimulus package.
The planned increases reportedly include: raising the corporate tax from 21 percent to 28 percent; increasing the income tax rate on people making more than $400,000; expanding the estate tax; paring back tax preferences on pass-through businesses such as limited-liability companies; and setting up a higher capital gains tax rate for individuals making at least $1 million.
PUBLIC FEEDBACK WAS SWIFT TO THE NEWS OF BIDEN'S PLAN:

True enough. But the democrats want to borrow and spend a helluva lot more than Trump/GOP ever did. And I guarantee that the Biden and democrats will vastly over-estimate the increase in revenue that the proposed Biden tax hike will bring in. And it will not include any estimate of jobs not created and expected tax revenue those jobs might have provided if this tax hike goes through as I expect it will through reconciliation.

The debt will never be paid off. However a tax raise on those who received the largess of the last tax bill is fiscally responsible, as is funding small business, preventing another housing crisis and extending Unemployment Insurance. These are to prevent another great recession or even a depression. The GOP Pols and their fellow travelers need to stop the BIG LIES and join the Democrats in rebuilding our nation's electric grid, roads, bridges and public transportation, including the railroads.

Ford is building the MustangE in Mexico, Tesla is building cars in Fremont, CA. The irony is the Mustang still receive a $7,500 tax credit along with BMW and a dozen more care built in Europe and Asia.
