Many years ago my city stopped putting up the piers and diving boards at our many beaches ostensibly as a "cost cutting measure". Since then the city has been rolling in cash, yet no piers and diving boards. That's what I mean by messy.

I think that number is about to go up this year.

that's a lot of hot dog vendors.

Did they go south for the winter?

And likely stayed there. I can't imagine anyone who could leave would come back.

Gov't seems to be doing okay, but the private sector in NYC is not so much.

You really don’t even need to freeze spending. Simply limit spending increases to the inflation rate.

You don’t need communists for that. Big business will ruin you with the help of the government, which acts in their interests!
