You should do a better job of fact checking bull shit stories like this. Mr. Carter never gave Kim that money. Mr. Carter left office in 1981. Kim received that money in the mid to late 1990's. At least 19-Years AFTER Mr. Carter left office. Fact checking before posting eliminates glaring factual errors like yours.

I already did that check and verified that President Carter, as they are called after leaving office, went to North Korea much to the dismay of President Clinton and negotiated the idiotic giveaway. Clinton reluctantly went along with Peanut Brittle.

I must confess my admiration for Greg Palast as well. I'm a big fan of his and read his website for new things, stuff that others seem to ignore but shouldn't. However, we must tread cautiously when it comes to his claims, for he is not always a reliable source. You see, I had the pleasure of viewing his remarkable video entitled "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy", but I must admit that its premise had one glaring flaw. Palast refused to provide evidence for the purged lists he purportedly obtained, which allegedly showed that the 'Interstate Crosscheck' program disproportionately purged black voters from registration rolls. Nonetheless, it is a fact that a Federal Judge halted the program due to its high false positive rates.

In an interview, Palast was pressed on this matter and he gave a cryptic response, stating that he was not at liberty to reveal further details. While the video did make much sense, it lacked the necessary proof to substantiate its claims. Furthermore, Palast's derogatory references to Cohen and Daniels, following the right-wing party line, do not sit well with me. I strive for objectivity and impartiality, and such epithets do not align with my sensibilities. Though, I must confess that I do listen to Cohen's podcast and find his arguments to be quite compelling, but that is a matter for another day.
