Hitler was
elected and elected at a time when the party's persecution of Jews was public knowledge, the society had an existing inclination toward antisemitism years before Hitler's rise to power so his antisemitic policies came as no surprise to most Germans.
During this time it is estimated that 95% of people identified as Christian, so there's really no case to be made that antisemitism was nothing to do with Christianity, it always has been, before Christianity there was pretty much no such thing as antisemitism.
Those who like to propose the idea that antisemitism and its pinnacle in Germany, are nothing to do with Christian ideas at the time, usually do so because they want to claim that Islam and Muslims are the
true antisemites, but again the historic facts show there's really no evidence for this belief.
