Hes an idol and fake and no one needs Jesus to go to heaven. There is no original sin in Genesis hell or a devil. There is no fall of man. Genesis is the moral teaching of man and the trial for mans freedom. Mans free choice to believe in God. The Christian distortion uses hell as a threat to force obedience. Believe in Jesus or burn in hell but Jesus loves you.

Where were you taught Christianity? Have you ever practiced Christianity? If not, what are you imagining it will be like? Last questions: When you die, have you any belief you will stand before God? If so, what do you imagine it will be like?

Why did Christians invent hell and a devil which is not in Genesis. Why do Christians believe if you dont follow Jesus you go to hell. Thats a threat...You have to be baptized or you go to hell. Another threat.
If God judges us then Christians should consider converting to Judaism after the crap they pulled over the centuries.

God warned Adam and Eve saying they must not to eat of the tree of knowledge and would surely die. Another being encouraged Eve to eat it anyway. Wouldn't you say this being was working against God? Genesis says that Adam and Eve were living in the Garden of Eden, also known as Paradise, but were banned from it after choosing to go against God's command. Here is the first description of mankind being able to live with God or (through disobedience) choosing to live apart from God.
Why does it please you to see everything as a threat? First, as you are not a Christian what you view as threats have nothing to do with you anyway. When one chooses to follow Christ and the Way, we begin with baptism where we will work to reject mankind's inclination of disobedience and instead strive to be obedient to God's Way. Just as Adam and Eve, through disobedience, could not longer be close to God, through disobedience we create our own distance from our own relationship with God. What keeps us close to God: Obedience in the Ways of God. What keeps us separated from God: Disobedience to the Ways of God.
Christianity is deeply rooted in Judaism. A study of the Old Testament teaches much about the New Testament. A study of the New Testament teaches much about the Old Testament.
There are several Old Testament verses and accounts of God judging. Ecclesiastes 12:14 is one: "For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil." I asked what you imagined your own judgment might be like.

Did they die? No It was a test of free will and a bluff. God intended them to eat the fruit so the moral lesson could begin. Its fruit sweet and tempting so they would eat it. They were not punished because learning moral values is not a sin and was Gods intent all along. After Adam ate the fruit God said" What hast though done?" He knows hes God he is giving Adam time to admit he disobeyed. Thats called the trial for mans freedom. Adam admits it and God is pleased. Adam is never punished only the serpent is punished.
Eden is a metaphor for childhood. With free will and morals Adam and Eve out grew Eden and went out to create civilization. Thats called evolution.
Christians changed the meaning to create a dogma that supported Jesus the fake god. Dumbed down and used original sin as threat to force obedience. If God judges everyone you might want to worry about your own judgement. We are judged on what we have done for huma ity not the god we choose to believe in. What have you done for humanity

Yes, Adam and Eve died, and so has (and will) all of mankind.
I reject your description of God as a trickster and deceiver. God is truth. Had he wanted Adam and Eve to eat of the fruit, He would have been straight forward and honest. While you see Adam and Eve as being "not" punished, I see them as having to live with the consequences of their actions. For example, if a parent tells a child who is playing Superman not to try to fly of the roof, but the child does anyway, the parents don't break a couple of his bones as punishment. They simply point out that the broken bones were the consequence of trying to fly off the roof.
Adam and Eve wanted the knowledge of good and evil. God outlined the consequences of this action.
Islam and some Eastern traditions emphasize being accountable for our deeds. Judaism emphasizes both deeds and moral conduct, works that repair the world. Christianity emphasizes service, good deeds and faith. What have I done? My faith also teaches when one is doing something good, not to let the left hand know what the right hand is doing. Meanwhile, some of us also remember the humility of the prayer of one of our Saints: Lord, watch out for me today because given the chance, I will betray you.

God is love...it's not something he does.
The OT was men seeking God and making God look bad in the process. The NT is God seeking man and setting the record straight.
Why do you care? You don't believe anything supernatural occurred in the OT, right? The OT is just Jewish embellishment, right?
Is that an OT thing or a NT thing?
