I am not a Jehovah's Witness, but I agree with most of their beliefs. What is it that causes many people to exclude them from Christianity?

Denying the deity of Christ, maybe.
Referring to the Holy Spirit as "it", maybe.
Believing the Holy Trinity is a thread headed false god, invented by the devil, maybe.
Lot of reasons, just to mention a few.

I think that Christian orthodoxy is defined in the Nicene Creed. Any sect that differs significantly from its tenets is not deemed Christian by other Christians. The most prominent example of un-Christian "Christians" is the LDS church, whose beliefs are positively bizarre from a Christian perspective.

I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,

of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,

the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,

who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.

I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come.

We need a section for Occult threads like this one .

Out of genuine interest I attended one of their Churches for about six months .
Lovely people , though the speaking in tongues and falling over and twitching sometimes drove me to emergency coughing fits .

Most Christians believe Jesus was only in the grave for a day and a half.

Which version of the Nicene Creed are you quoting? Does "orthodox" Christianity include Roman Catholics and Protestants?

Most protestants. Who can keep track of all of them and what they believe?

the only difference by later day saints is we don't belief in the trinity they are 3 separate entities. We also believe we are the reformed church at Gods direction, and we have Prophets just like in the past.

Just taking a moment here to correct some misleading information. First, Protestant Churches do not follow your Nicene Creed. They do not believe the Catholic Church is Christ's Church. They have their own creeds that are similar. However, they mostly believe your Church has been taken over by Satan.
Now, to another misleading statement about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints beliefs. Let's just take your creed and see how far off LDS are:
1. LDS believe in one Father God, one Son of God Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost. Same as Catholics
2. Jesus was born of the Father BEFORE all ages (Meaning before Adam) LDS believe Father and Mother in Heaven have spirit children in which Jehovah (Jesus) is one of them. Thus, born of the Father before all ages.
3. Begotten (born of spirit) and not made.
4. LDS believe Jehovah came down from heaven and took the body of the baby Jesus. Not really different from Catholics.
5. LDS believe the Holy Ghost used in vitro fertilization of Father in Heaven's sperm to impregnate Mary. Thus, Jesus is the literal Son of God the Father both spiritually and physically. Thus, physically begotten of the Father. The only one on earth.
6. LDS believe in the full atonement that Catholics do. Jesus took upon himself the sins of the world, died and was resurrected into a God of flesh and bones as many saw and handled his hands and feet. And, as Jesus stated in Luke that he was not a spirit because he has a body of flesh and bones.
7. LDS believe He ascended back into heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father.
8. LDS believe He will come again in all his glory and judge the living and the dead.
9. And LDS believe, that His kingdom and His Father's Kingdom will have no end, literally.
10. LDS baptize for the remission of sins and by the laying on of hands give the gift of the Holy Ghost and confirm people members of the Church of Jesus Christ.

So, I don't know why you had to attack the LDS Church and it's people.

I am not a Jehovah's Witness, but I agree with most of their beliefs. What is it that causes many people to exclude them from Christianity?

15th post
People who study the Bible believe all sorts of things.
It's why there are 40,000 different sects around the world of so-called Christians. It's the reason that if these are the last days, the true doctrine of Christ had to come about for there be some people who can be saved from ignorance. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's Church today with true doctrine and the fullness of the Gospel. No confusion any longer. Praise the Lord!

What beliefs do you believe are correct from Jehovah Witness doctrines?

Got one. It's called "religion".

Gather round folks .

De Crappy has made his first sensible remark this year .
He has issued only a personal opinion , rather than a reasoned submission , but it is a start .

Take a break for a few days and see if you can come up with another winner .

Have you gone TT ?

I agree that the Holy Spirit is not a person.

Neither is God
Both are one and the same --- Consciousness or Universe.

The Eessene monk, albeit with good intentions, was primarily responsible for turning his beliefs into a Cult Religion . By personalising it .
He tried to make his stories relatable to the simple Sheeple Flock by picturing the eternal as some sort of God beyond understanding but a person nevertheless .

A dumb move in hindsight .
It tragically has set matters back over 2000 years as the Sheeple ( here Cult Christians ) are stuck in this mind set .

Bit like the forest people who make everything that is inexplicable into a God --- God of the Thunder , Waterfall etc etc
