If a present leader is involved and this looks like only Trump so far... Again a Independent counsel should be set up under bi-partisan congress with oversight from international observers... With International Observers to have to place an unreacted public report to congress (this happens abroad, the FBI have done this in Ireland on a police shooting incident).
In no way should the White House have any control over the team investigating, the President or any one in the wider investigation. We would want to also know why Maxwell is in a minimum prison with a bunch of privileges. Also investigate the original plea agreement... And the sucide...

The worst thing for America is that we fail to investigate the possibility of Pedophile or Pedophile enabler being President of America because of tribal politics... It still also bothers me that they all remain silent, even when they had a press conference back in September talking about how they were going to make their own list and release it, and here we are, nothing released. Most of the ones that I have seen speak publicly never mention anyone other than Epstein and Maxwell. I believe if he did share women they were over the age of consent and being very well paid.
