In May 2020, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a motion to dismiss the charge against Flynn with prejudice, asserting that it no longer believed it could prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Flynn had made false statements to the FBI or that the statements, even if false, were materially false in regards to the FBI's investigation. Sullivan then appointed an amicus, John Gleeson, to prepare an argument against dismissal. Sullivan also allowed amici to file briefs regarding the dismissal motion.
Powell filed an emergency petition for a writ of mandamus in the Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, asking (1) that Judge Sullivan be ordered to grant the government's motion to dismiss, (2) for Sullivan's amicus appointment of Gleeson to be vacated, and (3) for the case to be assigned to another judge for any additional proceedings. The appellate court panel assigned to the case ordered Sullivan to respond, and briefs were also filed by the DOJ and amici. In June 2020, the appeals court panel ruled 2–1 in favor of Flynn on the first two requests, and the panel unanimously rejected the third request. Judge Sullivan petitioned the Court of Appeals for an en banc rehearing, a request opposed by Flynn and the DOJ. The appellate court granted Sullivan's petition and vacated the panel's ruling. The case was ultimately dismissed as moot after President Trump pardoned Flynn.

This is an interesting take but it has nothing to do with the democrats completely dishonestly redacting Virginia's name.I'm not being stupid...I'm the one saying that maybe Donald is the anonymous source that tried to rat on Epstein before the family of the 14 year old girl shortly after. Epstein is 75% there, thinking that Trump was the rat.
An informant, as Mike Johnson had said ...but later retracted, Donald Trump was an FBI informant...a rat as Donald calls informants NOW a days.
That maybe, after this long meet with Virginia at Epstein's house alone..., maybe she actually spelled it all out to Trump and she thought he would help her and the rest of the girls....of course Trump's thoughts were probably how could he use this as leverage over Epstein....
I've been thinking about all of this for a while and trying to make sense of it...
Virginia later went on to tell all, on Epstein and Maxwell and all the older men she slept with....but never ever said Trump was anything but cordial... Other girls too, said that too.
So, maybe, just maybe Trump had plausible deniability....maybe he saw the young girls around Epstein all the time, but never knew they were not 18 yrs old and never asked...maybe Trump thought sex could be going on in the masseuse room, but never witnessed first hand so he could plausibly deny it was all going on....
Sure, there are the half naked girls, topless on his lap, that there are pictures of Trump with....but again, Trump could think they are 18 and not minors... or at least tell himself that....and without asking, how would he know?
Then there are the instances of sharing a girlfriend together and Epstein supplying Trump with girls... But they were over 18.
Then you have Trump making the public statement about knowing Jeffrey for 15 years and him loving beautiful women as much as Trump does, only they are on the YOUNGER side....
....would Trump really make that statement if he thought the YOUNGER side meant illegal underage girls and implicate his good buddy in crimes? I don't think so.....not back in 2002....with his plausible deniability he could say he was talking about 18 year olds.
It's possible that because Jeffrey was going to implicate Trump in Russian money laundering when the home in contention later was sold by Trump to the Russian Oligarch for more than twice what Trump bought it for... as part of his revenge against Trump for out bidding Epstein from under his feet, on the house Epstein showed Trump he wanted to buy...
Maybe Trump beat him on the revenge and made that anonymous call to the police chief in West Palm beach ratting on Jeffrey for his minor girl Harem??
Epstein clearly thought Trump ratted him out and perhaps would do so again, it seems.....
would Trump rat Epstein out, if he were a participant...? I don't think so, nor did Epstein it seems....
NOW know....this is all giving Trump the HUGE benefit of the doubt....that he didn't actually play with the minors and could plausibly deny knowing they were minors....
Trust me... I do NOT want to give Trump the benefit of the doubt, I do not want to even give him plausible deniability.... But, I think it could be ....possible.
Welcoming any argument against my speculation from my liberal friends.... even hoping for it!
The fact that they did reeks of politics and lies. They don't really care about those girls, they care about hurting Trump. It's the obsession of democrats.

I find most of the left to be incredibly uninformed. I think they watch and read msm, which does an extremely poor job of covering the news. IOW, they think they're informed. I recall talking to a table of 6-8 blues about a year ago at group I belong to and not a single one of them had ever heard of the Twitter files.
