NATO is only a few decades old, the US is over 200 years old. You should go back to your elementary school and ask for a refund.

There is only one direction the US can move, towards the great wisdom of George Washington. No long term foreign entanglements. One need only look to recent events to see that foreign adventurism has no future here. Shifts in demographics, less loyalty to archaic traditions, and the rise of powers outside of the corpse-like Europe have created a situation in which there will always be significant opposition to any foreign military actions.

NATO is 75 years old. The United States birthed it.

We have led it for 1/3 of our existence.

If the US continues to lead, we can force a humiliating defeat on Russia, reducing it from true world power status.
