Actually, this is crap, we were sliding into a recession before then. The company I was working for at the time was doing layoffs long before Covid hit. A large part of it was because his tariffs on China were already impacting the economy in making components for American manufacturers more expensive.

Guy, 49.9% of an electorate where 37% of people didn't vote at all is not a "majority". You will be amazed how fast people turn on Trump when his economic ideas all turn out bad.

Besides the usual GOP mismanagement, two things he wasn't to do will definitely reek havoc with the economy. 1) Tariffs and 2) Deportations.

The Dems greatest fear, besides world peace, has to be an economic recovery post Bidenomics. That will ensure a JD Vance win in 2028.

We can only hope. But the deep state/Democrats will still control most of the media, social media, entertainment, big business, scientific institutions, Google, even a lot of religious organizations. The rank and file Americans won't be informed of much good things happening but will be told how terrible things are under the Trump administration. That plus what we all was a lot of cheating is the ONLY reason Trump lost in 2020. But lose he did.

Even with X becoming a free speech platform--I give that a lot of credit for the success of the 2024 campaign--Kamala got a LOT more votes than she would if we had honest messaging.

So no matter how successful Trump and his team are for the next four years. JD's victory in 2028 is not assured. It will take all us Patriots pulling together and finding ways to get a good message out there to keep good things going. Calling the Democrats names won't do it as that turns a lot of people off.
