More evidence this was a 'set-up' intended to demonize / vilify conservatives and attempt to tie it to Biden.
- The FBI contacted a retired Green Beret and wanted him to be a 'plant'
- WH Staff meets with 6 'Protestors' in advance, offering Pardons
-- I'm sure Sullivan, who is on video inciting the violence, was one of them
Sullivan… who BLM BOOTED. Months before 1/6 because he was “suspect” and who’s brother is a Proud Boy

Congrats on beating me to this one Dana - Just came across it and then it popped up on the "already being discussed" radar.

Yeah, the more we find out about this, the more we know for DAMN sure that this was being strategized by Donald and his minions since right after the election culminating with the "War Room" at the Willard Hotel, the 55k bill for which was reimbursed to Bernie Kerik by the Trump Campaign itself.

Pretty much no surprise why Republicans wanted no part of this investigation.

Gosar, Meadows, Boebert, Brooks, Cawthorn, Biggs and Gohmert?

im-completely-surprised-this-is-my-shocked-face.jpg

Lauran Boebert was at the Capitol the night before the insurrection. In what is a curious case of how she was allowed in the building at that hour, and wasn't even a sworn member of Congress yet.

We also know that offices were entered, and a panic button was removed from a Democratic Congresswomans office.

If little miss Boebert did this, that is conspiracy to commit murder. Her actions were premeditated.

In a Republic, actually
Wow.

Here is the report on Variety. It's a shortened version:

Jan. 6 Protestors Allegedly Met With White House Staff and Members of Congress in Advance, Were Promised Pardons

Here is the whole report from Rolling Stone Magazine.

A bombshell report from Variety’s sister publication Rolling Stone alleges that organizers of the Jan. 6 protests, which escalated to violence when Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol, met numerous times with White House staff and members of Congress to strategize in the days prior.

At least three organizers of the Stop the Steal rally are speaking with the House panel investigating the riot, with one saying that Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) even promised them a “blanket pardon” in advance.

“Our impression was that it was a done deal,” the organizer said. “That he’d spoken to the president about it in the Oval … in a meeting about pardons and that our names came up. They were working on submitting the paperwork and getting members of the House Freedom Caucus to sign on as a show of support.”

According to the organizers, the representatives that spoke with the organizers or sent high-level staffers to join also included Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC), Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) and Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX).

Two of the three organizers also said they interacted with members of Trump’s team, including former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.

As for why these organizers are speaking to the House panel? “It’s so important is that — despite Republicans refusing to participate … this commission’s all we got as far as being able to uncover the truth about what happened at the Capitol that day. It’s clear that a lot of bad actors set out to cause chaos…They made us all look like shit.”
This level of corruption and criminality from the Trump administration comes as no surprise.

Rolling Stone? The old pot head rock star magazine? More slick reporting about a demonstration that was legal and Constitutional. Why wouldn't congress people meet with them prior to the demonstration? As far as I can see there is no mention of pardons. Democrats are desperate to make a federal case out of Jan 6 while more people were killed or wounded by Alec Baldwin. Where was Rolling Stone when a Sanders supporter and democrat activist opened fire on a Republican baseball team?

I wonder why people would be promising blanket pardons and why protestors would be expecting blanket pardons for a legal march.

:dunno:

These people are actually deluded enough to believe that Trump would be reinstated to office, and grant blanket pardons. Many of them are actually deluded enough to believe that there is some white supreme being in a position of power somewhere, that will make things right for the entitled rulers of America. Many of them evangelicals that were part of the original white flight from cities in the 60's and 70's, to avoid desegregation at any cost. A movement started by Jerry Falwell, the founder of the moral majority, and Liberty university. Interestingly enough, this is when the anti abortion movement started by Falwell after his efforts at segregation failed, and he had to have a new foil to continue a movement that is what can't be deemed anything other than pure evil.

A new movement needs to be started that ends any further negotiating with, or any tolerance of these people any longer.

I dunno.
Rolling Stone ain't exactly the New York Times when it comes to gravitas. So, being neutral on all of these shenanigans I'm quite willing to let the cake bake.
If Variety/Rolling Stone have the goods......it will emerge. Betcha.
If they don't have the goods then they'll pay a price. Betcha.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"A lot of these libturd broads..."
"Libturd broads"....eh?
I don't mean to be disrespectful, good poster Hang, but.....but given that post, and others of yours that I recall, well, you seem to have an issue with women.
I don't want to know why.
But you need to know.....it is fairly evident.
An incel?
-----------------------------------------------------------

The Trumpsters will dismiss this out of hand, of course, but we'll see what facts turn up
Yeah, Mac58, let's see what turns up. The 'facts' as reported ARE notable.
We'll let the cake bake.
------------------------------------------------------------------

Being that the progs compared it to Pearl Harbor..... FDR knowing about it to get us into a war..... we were purposely kept in a depression to get us ready for one.
"Purposely kept in a depression" ???
You know, I really do love this bar.
Who wouldn't? (insert 'eyeroll' emoticon here.)
--------------------------------------------------

that Pelosi used to cause the false-flag operation in the first place.
Ah, the good poster 'mudwhistle' who seemingly claims all those MAGAHatters beating the merde' outta the cops were really FBI guys. OJT-Trainees, we suppose?

Mudwhistle, you are one of the reasons I come to this gossipboard.
Just like Sammy Davis Junior. An entertainer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It would be amazing if they could net all of these crazies in one swoop but given the widespread nature of the conspiracy I would be amazed if someone did not strike a deal.
TT, yeah.
It would be amazing, wouldn't it?
We just hafta wait and see if these Variety/Rolling Stone reportage gets validated.

See....'cake is baking' references above.

I was struck by those rednecks pausing in the middle of that violent attack on democracy to pray in the Senate Chamber that they had just trashed.

"These people"? We are talking about an op-ed by a pot head F.U rock star magazine concerning unidentified unverified anonymous "sources". Lefties love it because they need that jolt of hatred for the former president. It beats talking about Biden anyway.

Nope.

Overall, we rate Rolling Stone Left Biased based on strongly left-leaning editorial positions and High for factual reporting due to proper sourcing of information and a clean fact check record. Rolling Stone is an American biweekly magazine and website that focuses on popular culture.

Rolling Stone - Media Bias/Fact Check

Is the rape reporting they did at the U of Virginia included in the "Media Bias/Fact Check?
Because Rolling Stone wound up paying out a whole lot of money to the students they
slandered and lied about there in their fake rape allegations.

You know these things you allege with absolutely NO evidence or documentation can easily be
debunked through some perfunctory searching.
