I consider myself a nominal Christian.
And, as God is my witness, I had the terrible misfortune of being born WHITE.

But here I am: whiter than hell. Oh, I have a nice tan right now because my privilege allowed me to work my ass off for over 40 years so now I can afford a place that has a pool down the street. But I'm still white.
And I judge people by their character; how they treat people, their work ethic, how responsible they are, not by their bank account or color.
But, man, from what I hear here and everywhere, that really has made me racist.

I didn't even imply the church is greedy. I stated that the Church is sitting on billions of dollars which aren't helping anyone much less the poor or the sick sitting in a trust fund. And this was in the context of a discussion about Republicans giving more to "charity" than Democrats.

My response being that their church donations aren't helping the poor or the sick, so how can they claim that Republicans are doing more for poor people than Democrats, when most Republican charitable donations are being made to their churches.

Jesus did not approve of permanent irresponsibility. Forgiveness is one thing. Spending a whole life at something is not what he preached for. He did not approve of sin that an individual did not end, and he did not approve of the money changers. He approved of tolerance within common sense. And we have met much of that today. Somehow You Progs who helped this along, went off the rails. Unless an employee is a bum, no other employee should be messed with. And there are millions of people who have experienced being messed with over the last fifty years and more who have not seen justice applied.
