James Carville condemns Republicans

Carville said the Republican Party tends to have “stupid people” voting in the primaries, which can negatively affect them in the long run.
“Really stupid people demand to have really stupid leaders. That’s where the Republican Party stands now,” Carville said.
The strategist added that he does not think former President Donald Trump will be the GOP nominee for the 2024 presidential race after the recent Mar-a-Lago raid.
However, he said, the Democrats are not promoting themselves much better.
He cited a study from Pew Research Center that divided political parties into nine groups: four Republican-oriented groups, four Democratic-leaning ones, and one “true” set of independents. Of the groups, he said, the smallest and most vocal were the progressives, making up 11-12% of the Democratic Party and 6% of the overall 2020 election.
