Pornography is entitled to First Amendment protections.Legal doesn't equal moral. All porn should be banned from public communication. Period.
At least you’re consistent in your contempt for the Constitution.

So it's a place for hypocrites. Must be kind of crowded. It's where the pedo priests would go. Because they weren't really bad.
Left-Obsessed Atheists Won't Even Mention Ayn Rand's Atheism
The Christofascists who pushed through Prohibition were smart enough not to tag any other issue onto their agenda.

Any time you support unconstitutional actions, you are unamerican. And another vote for porn dissemination. That's two. Anybody else?
Etymology of Purgatory/Purging is purification. Purification in the afterlife was the belief of some Jews at the time of Jesus...gold tested in fire. Time for purification for the dead was the year following death. Since Jesus spoke of purification, it is not something to shrug away.Purgatory, I like that one. Whoever came up with that one should get a cigar. A place to go when you're not bad enough to go to hell. Then there's limbo too ! It's not just a dance.
There is also repentance (the turning away from) the sin leading to the forgiveness of that sin. On serious sin, it is Jesus who judges the heart. It is also Jesus who said it is better for a millstone to be tied around the neck of anyone who leads a little one astray. It's where the pedo priests would go. Because they weren't really bad.
It is a place for purification and a guess would suggest very crowded. I base this on a memory of learning as a child the average person commits seven sins a day. Recently I heard that the average American commits three felonies a day. I understand we average about five good deeds a month. So it's a place for hypocrites. Must be kind of crowded.
The 60s, the last time I went to church with any conviction. The world happened and I realized just how small that belief was.Etymology of Purgatory/Purging is purification. Limbo was a state the Church was in when people asked about unbaptized children. Nothing in either the Bible or Tradition addressed this point. It was the same as saying, "We don't know", but as language changed, people began to think of Limbo as a place. This was corrected again in the 1960s.
Great. Then you admit 'free speech' does not cover things direly harmful to the citizenry. And there's nothing more harmful than atheism.
Freedom to do what?
Oooh! Papist fight! It's the opposite. Atheism is inherently evil because it is the willful exclusion of God. People, however, are not evil, as they are capable of repenting until their death. Ideas and actions are evil; not people.
The guy you're trying to talk to has way too much time on his hands. He's invented things to worry about; forget about all the real threats in the world, this is the kind of made-up garbage he worries about.Atheism is not more dangerous than child porn. That is absolute bullshit.
Moving the goalposts again? So you're all for child porn being openly disseminated?
Of course it is. All godless forces are destructive. You don't like the suggestion you visit the five atheist nations, because you can't counter it.
You said point blank Admiral doesn't favor dissemination of porn. I asked how you know that, since you seem to be fine with it.
For some, the world (especially things of the world) was smaller than the belief. The 60s, the last time I went to church with any conviction. The world happened and I realized just how small that belief was.
SantorumHe and I have discussed it in other threads. So I base my comment on knowledge of what he has said on the subject.
On what did you base your assertion?
Then people became educated. They were allowed to read the Bible and noticed all the inconsistencies. Beliefs that are based in truth fare better than those based on folklore. For some, the world (especially things of the world) was smaller than the belief.
It's called a synagogue. If you want us to not believe you don't want to suppress all other religions, calling our places of worship by the right name is a good start. They can disseminate as long as it doesn't take moral positions against Christianity, particularly Catholicism. So the thing about multiple wives is a no. Pushing abortion like the black churches do is a no. See how it works? Now if Asher's Jewish church wants to advertise a bagel bake or whatever, that's not a problem. But if he goes in there and runs an ad pushing abortion, which is his position, that's a no.
We may disagree here. "Modern" perspectives and commentaries became the vogue in too many places. I found better understanding and logic from those who researched the original meaning/intent of the original authors to their original audience. Then people became educated. They were allowed to read the Bible and noticed all the inconsistencies. Beliefs that are based in truth fare better than those based on folklore.
