It's Official: Bukele will NOT Release El Salvadoran Citizen Kilmar Abrego Garcia to the United States

Due Process, is a PROCESS, embedded soundly in our CONSTITUTION and LAW.

We don't want to import dictator tactics from these other Authoritarian countries. We have a Constitution to guide us.
Lol. Laughable. I'm sorry. Just because I agree with you guys on some leftist issues doesn't mean I'm gonna sit here and endorse bulls**t statements like that. I can easily point to what Obama did to journalists at Fox News and the AP as "dictator tactics."

Egads. No. Don't conflate my agreement with endorsement of your platform. If you did, you are in for a big, fat, rude awakening.

1) I'm not a leftist. I never have been, never will be. The term you're looking for is "classical liberal." Go back on my post history, I've been here 12 years. My views are diverse, though mainly conservative.

2) The SCOTUS ordered him to stop and instructed him on the legal path forward, which I believe he or his handlers took.
2) Biden chose to ignore USSC rulings.

Biden’s Student Loan Boast: The Supreme Court ‘Didn’t Stop Me’

The President ignores the law again as he forgives more student debt. The total is now $138 billion and counting.

Yes, if I am to believe an opinion. He did.

But if I am to believe the facts, he didn't.

"No, President Biden did not disobey the Supreme Court on student loan forgiveness. In June 2023, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in Biden v. Nebraska that Biden's plan to cancel up to $400 billion in student loans under the HEROES Act was unconstitutional, as it exceeded executive authority without clear congressional approval. Following the ruling, Biden did not implement the blocked program. Instead, his administration pursued alternative, narrower debt relief measures through existing programs, such as the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program and income-driven repayment (IDR) plans, which have canceled over $150 billion in debt for nearly 5 million borrowers.

These actions were legally distinct from the struck-down plan, targeting specific groups like public servants or borrowers misled by for-profit colleges, and relied on established statutory authority, not the HEROES Act. Critics, including some Republicans, have claimed these efforts circumvent the Court's ruling, but legal experts argue they fall within the Department of Education’s existing powers. For example, the PSLF program, expanded under Biden, has forgiven $51 billion for 715,000 borrowers, and IDR adjustments have canceled $42 billion for 855,000 borrowers, addressing past administrative errors.

Biden’s subsequent SAVE plan, which aimed to reduce monthly payments and speed up forgiveness for some borrowers, was also challenged and partially blocked by lower courts in 2024, with the Supreme Court upholding an injunction against it. However, this was a separate initiative from the 2023 ruling, and Biden complied with court orders by not implementing blocked provisions. Claims of defiance often stem from Biden’s public statements, like tweets suggesting he continued relief despite the Court, which some argue exaggerated his actions for political gain but do not indicate legal disobedience.

In summary, Biden adhered to the Supreme Court’s 2023 ruling by not pursuing the original plan and instead used existing legal frameworks for targeted relief, though political rhetoric and ongoing legal challenges have fueled perceptions of defiance among critics."

In summary, that was a lot of waffling and sidestepping. ‘targeted relief” applied to millions.

From the earlier link:

“Speaking in Culver City, Calif., on Wednesday, Mr. Biden said his original plan to “provide millions of working families with debt relief for their college student debt” was derailed by “MAGA Republicans” and “special interests” who challenged the plan in court. “The Supreme Court blocked it,” Mr. Biden added, “but that didn’t stop me.” He apparently thinks defying the law is a virtue.

On Wednesday Mr. Biden wrote off another $1.2 billion in student-loan debt, bringing the total amount he has canceled to some $138 billion. That’s not as much as the $400 billion debt cancellation a 6-3 Supreme Court majority struck down last summer, but it’s still a handout to 3.9 million borrowers.

What this quotation does not say is that he ignored SCOTUS. Mainly the very last line. You only have the plaintiff of the original case making statements that Biden is still ignoring SCOTUS, pointing to Biden's statements, but not any other specific actions that suggest he ignored SCOTUS.

Oh, well, if he only ignored the USSC the last time, I guess that's all right.

You only have excuses for why Biden repeatedly ignored the USSC.

Nope. I have an AI that searched the width and breadth of the internet for the facts.

I didn't vote for Biden, but I'm not going to lie about him either.

You don’t have to lie about Biden, you can learn the facts regarding his actions.

American Presidents may not like Supreme Court decisions, but most since Andrew Jackson, haven’t bragged about defying its rulings. Not even Donald Trump. Then there’s President Joe Biden, who, while canceling more student debt this week, boasted about ignoring the Supreme Court’s landmark 2023 ruling that his previous loan forgiveness plan was illegal.

Once again you're pointing to statements, not specific actions.

If you can show me actions he took that directly defied the SCOTUS, I'll retract everything I've said in this conversation with you up until this point.

And Obama was stopped immediately, by embarrassment, wasn't he, by the outrage of the press core in support of FOX....and our first amendment rights?
