It's Official: Bukele will NOT Release El Salvadoran Citizen Kilmar Abrego Garcia to the United States

But that's a lie. El Salvador has an extradition treaty with the US, signed in 1911 and amended in 2000. It allows for El Salvadorian nationals to be extradited back to the US if they face criminal charges.
Don't count on Burkele doing anything about that. He has made El Salvador the safest country in Central or South America. Even belonging to a gang is a life sentence. If Garcia has gang tats he's not getting out even if he had never committed a crime anywhere.

Seems that way. The more I learn, the more I regret defending him. But questions of due process remain...

How do you know that? How do you know I wasn't upset with Obama for that....back then? (I didn't vote for him)
Your stances and proclivities on this board over the years have led me to that conclusion.

Trust me, I'm far more observant than you think.

Say that there are 500,000 convicted criminal gang members here in the US.
You expect the government to house them until they are investigated and schedule a hearing, already 10-years out in the future, and detail their crimes, and let them lawyer up, and pay for their public defender, and then let a judge nit-pick the facts before releasing them?
**** that. If they are illegals give them a hearing date and deport them, as per Remain in Mexico.
That is "due process".

You know Remain in Mexico wasn't a law right?

It was a Trump EO at the time, not a law. And the Supreme Court ruled that one administration can revoke the EO's of a prior administration.

And remember, under the Unitary President power the Executive Branch can do anything they want. But wonder of wonders, another example of the GOP Judge shopping in Texas and Missouri to get a Ferderal District Court to halt the actions of the Executive Branch on a national basis.

If the guy were a US citizen, he should be returned. However he is not a US citizen and does not have the protection under our laws as a citizen no matter what the bleeding hearts may think. It used to be that if one was a US citizen it was special because we were th only ones that could vote.

OK, my bad, not a law, but current policy.

Trump reinforces use of his 'Remain in Mexico' policy

Trump breaking the LAW by sending and keeping Garcia there is Trump's purposeful circus distraction and deflection, for Trump illegally using the Alien Enemies Act to deport these thugs without trial/due process, when we are NOT at War with their Country...imo. The man of lawlessness is at work doing his lawless thing... :(
So, just curious. What do you think about Leticia James' fraud charges?

In summary, that was a lot of waffling and sidestepping. ‘targeted relief” applied to millions.

From the earlier link:

“Speaking in Culver City, Calif., on Wednesday, Mr. Biden said his original plan to “provide millions of working families with debt relief for their college student debt” was derailed by “MAGA Republicans” and “special interests” who challenged the plan in court. “The Supreme Court blocked it,” Mr. Biden added, “but that didn’t stop me.” He apparently thinks defying the law is a virtue.

On Wednesday Mr. Biden wrote off another $1.2 billion in student-loan debt, bringing the total amount he has canceled to some $138 billion. That’s not as much as the $400 billion debt cancellation a 6-3 Supreme Court majority struck down last summer, but it’s still a handout to 3.9 million borrowers.
Sounds like bald faced contempt of court on Biden's part.
