Tax goes to HMRC, a department for collecting taxes. The treasury is the Exchequer that finances what government wants to implement. So as Wales receives above average finance through the Barnett formula, some of that is from HMRC and the Treasury. So basically, the Royals are part funding your welfare payments. I bet that's pissed you off.
