It's about time it was said

we borrowed the money to run bush's pretend war of choice...

which led to our economic meltdown...

i think the president was more than nice to his predecessor.

WOW! That's the spin? $700 Billion borrowed over 7 years led to our economic meltdown? Ok, so riddle me this:

How did doubling that amount in one year work out?

you know very well it was spending like a drunken sailor on an unnecessary war and cutting taxes for rich people at the same time that was a massive part of the problem.

Part of the problem, the overspending part. Massive? Not the war spending part. The tax rate cuts which actually ended up being tax increases? Not part of the problem.

and it is ABSOLUTELY the reason we can't do the things we need to do now.

$700 Billion over 7 years has crippled us but twice that amount in 1 year didn't? That doesn't make sense. I agree that overspending and borrowing has caused this current economic problem. More of that crap certainly hasn't fixed it either.

again, you can play stupid or you can acknowledge those facts. and i know you're not stupid.

Ok, I'll take the compliment. Thanks. We can disagree on the strategic worth of this war and we can disagree on the economic policies that happened at the same time (I was in favor of cutting other spending to pay for it or don't do it, BTW), but I don't see a correlation between $100 Billion per year and the financial meltdown.

Perhaps I'm missing some key details.

yes it was bullshit to wait till about Bush's last year to complain about the spending.
I expect the fact that other republicans were running for office is why the complaints started.

You are free to remember your own version of history. None of that discounts the rancor when Bush passed Medicare "reform."

How many republicans voted for that? didn't they have the majority in both houses then?

I complained about all of Shrubbie's stupid spending, NCLB, the idiotic Medicare D handout, DHS, TSA, the USAPATRIOT Act...You name it.

When are schmucks like you going to get all bent out of shape, because your matinee idol of a president can't seem to prove he's any better an alternative?
You may well have complained.
However most republicans did not nor did hardly any of the right wing pundits.

You and Ron Paul were about the only right wingers complaining.
Bullshit they didn't.

You forget, I was hanging out at the Hannity forums back then...I'm here to tell you that only a small percentage of hardcore republican sellout apologists, like tha malignant, were making excuses for the Shrub, for his stupid domestic spending profligacy.

And even though there were more supporters for things like DHS, TSA and the USAPATRIOT Act, that number only broke about 60-40.

Go ahead...Ask anyone else who was posting there at the time....You'll find no shortage of them here.

when i say pretend war of choice, i'm referring to the reasons given for starting it... all of which were pretend.

Vice President Biden doesn't agree with you.

He voted YES on authorizing use of military force against Iraq.

On Meet the Press in 2007, on Hussein’s WMDs Biden stated: “Well, the point is, it turned out they didn’t, but everyone in the world thought he had them. The weapons inspectors said he had them. He catalogued — they catalogued them. This was not some, some Cheney, you know, pipe dream. This was, in fact, catalogued.”

Is Biden lying?

I'll attest to the fact that YOU were consistently speaking out against the Bush Admin.

But your hardcore sellout numbers are off, IMO, as you were VERY MUCH the exception to the rule there.

How does Ron Paul feel about chocolate milk?

Ring a bell to anyone?

Actually, I was surprised at how much not the exception, albeit the minority, I was.

The thread is still running...It lives on posts from RetardRick and a relatively small number of lizard brained dickweed haters like him...A fitting monument to his arrogance and self-absorption.

Dude, if they were bitching about Bush then it was behind closed doors or in PM because the right at Hannity defended him in public like a momma bear would her cub.

And yeah, Rick is a total tool and his rise to power completely ruined that board.

You are equating the GOP idiots in Congress with "the right." That's where you are wrong.

RetardRick? Is that ReconRick? One of The Rat's buddies? Has anyone ever vetted that guy?

You are equating that stupid board with "the right?"

I think I see the problem. Been there, done that.

No, I'm not equating that board with "the right" ... I was talking specifically about "the right" at that board.

Yes, ReallyTardedRick or Firewatch or whatever dumbass name he goes by there now.

Dude's got issues, that's for sure. He tried and failed. I'm really curious about Hannity's methods. He gets the message board dynamic being an early Freeper and he spoke quite a bit about how it becomes a matter of personality conflicts which then discredits the entire effort.

Maybe Hannity just doesn't give a shit about that anymore.
