It's about time it was said

The Iraq War, which should not have been waged, has nothing to do with the economic collapse of 2007-2008.

Borrowing money to pay for Iraq has little to do with our economic meltdown. It's added to our national debt, which isn't helpful, but the debt is only one of many factors contributing to the current state of our economy.

this isnt sensible. do you mean to say there's no direct correlation between public finance and mortgage rates and mortgage rates and the mortgage bubble or its collapse?

pathetic troll

what's the matter, hack, it hurt your feelings that i called you what you are?

too bad, so sad, life is filled with pain.

Explain carefully for us Idiots how 5.7 trillion in 8 years was just horrible but 3 trillion in 2 years is such a good deal?

5.7 trillion spent on a desert full of people who want to be governed the same way they were 1000 years ago, military casulties = 4,416

3 trillion spent on the USA, military casulties =0

:eusa_think:

You really cannot grasp the difference?

we borrowed the money to run bush's pretend war of choice...

which led to our economic meltdown...

i think the president was more than nice to his predecessor.
Idiot, lets not forget the fact that the nitwit in charge now has spent more of our money in less than two years than Bush did in 8 years with two wars going on. Obama can not do anything right but can credit for it to make himself look good, too late for that.

when i say pretend war of choice, i'm referring to the reasons given for starting it... all of which were pretend.

Prove it counselor.

We found the yellowcake? We found the WMD's?

First prove that the reasons for going to war were not real. Show that each piece of evidence was fabricated or made up as Jellyhead claimed.

And to answer your questions one only needs to read what Charles Duelfer and David Kay reported back in '04.

it doesn't matter if the *reasons* were real or not- it was without question the single biggest waste of american blood, treasure and prestige in my lifetime. period.

It must also be said that we have borrowed money to bail out Obama's buddies in the unions and his friends on wall street and big businesses like AIG.

This has led to our economic troubles getting even worse and deeper.

I think the people have been more than nice to the current president considering.

Me personally, I find them both dispicable for their handling of our economy and tax dollars.

Now provide us evidence that 5.7 trillion dollars was spent on Iraq . I won't wait. Further explain how Obama allowed stimulus money to go to foreign Companies and such? How he paid off the Unions and his supporters.

I'm not even sure why we need REAL reasons for going to war?

The USA felt threatened.

Guess what? If you're some half-witted tin horn dictator, probably a BAD IDEA to make the USA feel treatened.

Why isn't making this message perfectly clear reason enough to go to war?

TRUTH? CAN YOU TAKE IT?

President Bush went to war with the best intelligence the world had to offer. The entire world believed Hussein was trying to develop WMD, he had violated all sanctions placed against him that the UN had imposed, refused to cooperate with the UN inspectors and had invaded Kuwait and paid Palestinians to blow up Jews in Israel. Actions have consequences. President Bush did what he had to do. And the left wing went nuts. No support, Just Nuts. Now that's the truth so stop ******* whining that now you and your ilk get criticized. You reap what you sow. And, what led to our economic meltdown was the pressure from the democrats to provides homes to everyone in America even if they could not afford them. That's a fact. The stupid demonRats in Congress and their stupid social justice agenda brought us to the brink.

he was the only leader in recorded history to cut taxes during wartime.

and ran his little war on our credit card.

and now the wingnuts whine about the deficit.

EVERYBODY should be concerned about the deficit, dearie... I know I have for many years...

You can't stand there and whine about the war while giving Zero your Hero a pass on the continued drunken sailor spending...

i have few hero's. my father is one of them. but thanks.

i think it's clear that spending was what was needed. i think he gave in too much to the rightwingnuts. when he came into office he should have done an entire infrastructure program...

instead he tried to make nice with the 'ihopehefails' crowd.

Very true! He should have cleaned house. Look what happened in the Gulf when one of the Bush carry overs was allowed to stay.

You're right, we need to wait until they become a real threat, Mr. Chamberlain

Hussein regarded the Iranian threat as so serious that it was the major factor in his decision not to allow United Nations weapons inspectors to return, he said. Citing their shared border and his belief Iran would intend to annex southern Iraq, Hussein said he was more concerned about Iran discovering Iraq's weaknesses than repercussions from the United States and the international community. He believed that the inspectors would have directly identified to the Iranians where to inflict maximum damage to Iraq.

Well the leftwing idiots want to paint Bush as a liar, when in fact their man Obama is the proven liar, and they forget that it was Congress that gave Bush the nod to engage in war. They also forget the many democrats that also believed in the evidence and and supported the call to action. Many democrats were talking about going to war with Iraq back in 1998 including Bill Clinton.

What it boils down to is when the left don't get things their way, they turn to Saul Alinsky's rules for radicals because they cannot win an argument based on the facts.
