It's A Given

The rule is that everyone is a liar, and everyone is corrupt, but Trump and his Trumpsters. They are special. He loves them. No, really. He does.
And he's being persecuted. For them.

If the New York jury convicts Defendant Donald, it's a given his supporters will claim the election jury was rigged.

It's a given Defendant Donald will appeal.

It's a given the judge will need a lifetime of protection.

It's a given MAGA world will do their level best to dox the jurors, requiring them to need protection.

Freed from a gag order, it's a given the convict will whine about the judge, the jurors, New York, Joe Biden, the cost of golf clubs, something about clouds and snails and China and socks and roof tiles and whatever else wanders into his stream of consciousness. And, of course, the man who fomented a coup and paid off a porn star to keep her a secret from the voters will whine about election interference with no sense of self-awareness whatsoever.

But is it a given the judge will sentence the criminal to jail? Is it even a given the judge will sentence him to house arrest? If he does sentence the convict to house arrest, will it be in Trump Tower? Will the judge make allowances for campaign appearances?

I can't see Trump going to jail. He has a Secret Service detail for the rest of his life. The logistics are pretty complicated.

What say you?

If you are a Trump supporter and feel compelled in this moment to make attacks, throw red herrings, denialism, whataboutism, post links of Joe Biden falling off his bike, or whatever, don't bother.

I am asking a serious question. What do you think Trump's punishment will be if convicted?

All's fair in love and lawfare.
That comment may be true, but this is presidential politics which should be free of all this.

MAGA has tilted the field since the arise of the alt right. This is our world now.

I think Der Orange security must be top notch now, everything taken into consideration.

One thing I don't understand... Why is it logistical problem to send Trump to Prison.

We have all seen 60 days in

Give Trump one of these all on his own... Then vet a few white collar criminals as cell mates... e.g. Sam Bankman-Fried, Bernie Madoff..

Actually there will be enough of Trump hanger ons going to jail any way.

All happy... Security Service can be in the area 24 hours 7 days a week...

Legal experts on both sides of the isle say the entire trial and case is a SHAM so yeah. God some of you people are dense.

If Trump is convicted, he'll gain at least 5 million new voters.

Every person who's ever been fucked over in court by sleazy, corrupt lawyers and judges on a traffic ticket, a divorce, an employment dispute, a property dispute, a tax dispute, etc. will see exactly what happened here.

Not really...

Trump becomes a criminal...

Simply put, everyone who did get screwed over by the justice system are learning that their is one law for them and another law for the rich and powerful...
Micheal Cohen goes to jail but Trump doesn't... Why does that happen?

If ever confined, Trump will be remanded to a federal domicile or perhaps an apartment in Trump Tower.

He will have to wear a monitor, his access to social media will be extremely limited, he will be guarded by US Marshalls with unarmed Secret Service in attendance. There will be other limitations on his movement.

Just as a question...

Why wouldn't the 60 Day in facility be used like I said....

It could be part of a wider facility and it would be proper time...

All I see Trump doing while on house arrest is probing the limits of it and breaking it.. Then breaking it again and complaining thru his enablers about how unfairly treated he is...

He should become an inmate with a number... Public toilet, Public shower....

Remember Trump is not admitting he did wrong and is very likely to repeat the crime if given the chance..

There is a very dangerous view of US Justice at the moment... People around the world are see trump commit a crime in 2016, a very serious crime that very well have changed the course of an election (it was its intent) and we are now 2024 and he
