Italians nailed Jesus to the Cross…….Why did they blame the Jews?

And they have a Vatican full of gay men running around doing gay acts and mocking real christians. Most American Christians (non catholic) know catholicism is corrupt.

Us Greek orthodox left the Catholic church.

God told Joseph Smith the Catholic Church has lost its connection to god during the dark ages. Look at all the evil popes back then.
They have always have or abortions for nuns that got laid or raped by the priest.

The Social War was long before Christ and it was about other Latins who wanted Roman citizenship and incorporated into Rome.

Because the Jews demanded it, and the Romans being woke and not wanting to upset the Jews gave into their demands.

Well, I know I've heard of the Holy Roman Empire. Never heard of the Holy Italian Empire. Again, there really was no "Italy"...
The Holy Roman Empire existed after the fall of the Western Roman Empire and was in the area of the future Austro-Hungarian empire and Germany.

The identity of 'Roman' was no longer connected to the Italian peninsula in any way, and so 'Rome' never came to refer to the entire peninsula. Instead, like the Romans post-Augustus, they referred to the peninsula as a whole as Italy.

Roman’s controlled Justice

They conducted the trial, they gave the verdict, they tortured and crucified Jesus, they mocked him on the cross

Yet, they blamed the JEWS
Judas did not betray Jesus to Rome, but to the High Priests. The Jewish High Priests insisted that Jesus be put to death and another be released.

A long time ago, I read something that was merely speculation, but it has stayed with me. We know there was a rebellion in Jerusalem that Passover. It appears that whatever went on, Judas was somehow involved even if it were on the periphery. Judas knew Jesus had slipped out of the hands of the Jewish authorities many times before.

The speculation was that people involved with the Temple were in on the rebellion. Jesus was known to have called himself Son of the Father (Barabbas) which many called a heresy.

About this time, the High Priest Caiaphas said, Consider that it is better that one man should die so the whole nation does not perish. What if Temple Authorities could be tied to the failed Passover rebellion? Who did the Romans capture that day that the Temple authorities wanted released? For whom did they trade Jesus?

The Bible writes, "Barabbas", yet it was Jesus who called himself Bar Abba. At that time a Pharisee, Gamaliel, was President. As a Pharisee, he was likely at odds with the Sadducees (Annas and Caiphas) and some of the Pharisees were friendly towards Jesus. Gamaliel was certainly friendly with the Apostles later mission. He advised the Council to leave the Apostles be; if their mission was not from God it would fail soon enough; if it was from God they couldn't stop it.

Gamaliel had a son who was about Jesus' age. He was also against Roman rule, and died in the uprising in the 70s. At the time of Jesus this son of Gamaliel would have been known as Barabban (son of the president of the council).

Were the Jewish authorities in power at the Temple calling for the release of Barabban, willing to trade him for that heretic who called himself Bar Abba? Could they have convinced the Romans they had the wrong man? Note, other than the Bible, there is no other historical note that any prisoner was released during Passover; it simply wasn't the way of the Romans.

And Judas...was it misplaced faith that convinced him both Gamaliel's son and Jesus could get out of this alive? Judas certainly showed his distress (throwing the money back into the Temple) when he learned, instead, Jesus would be sentenced to death.

Something to think about. The Apostles clearly felt Temple Authorities had a hand in Jesus' sentence. Sadly, in future centuries, all Jews came to bear the same label as Annas and Caiaphas. Unfair to them, as more Jews at that time were anxious to hear Jesus and had nothing to do with his death.

But the people weren't referred to as Italians; at least I haven't found anything which would support that...
