They LOVE the number of newly infected... LOVE to bang that out and with fear and trembling.
But what they DON'T talk about is the most important number of all - hospitalization rates. And how those numbers put together say something. Something really important. The virus has weakened. Substantially. It simply isn't making people sick like it was. Now over 99% who get it, have no serious complications. Add that to the myriad of people who had it, and never had symptoms... and you have the makings of a pandemic that was once very real, and very bad... but now.... isn't. Why is the fact the pandemic is dwindling a bad thing?? Why still try and pretend it is bad? It isn't. It is nothing like it once was.
Both of my kids, and their spouses are medical professionals. It is NOTHING like it was. At any given time there are only a small handful of people with covid. A year ago it was 3 floors full, all of the ICU's and step up rooms were full...they were jerry rigging rooms to make room.
That has all been over with since last summer. Not only that, but people aren't dying from it. And those that are hospitalized, aren't as severe as they were.

The vaccine doesn't provide full immunity, you can get covid after getting the jab, in fact many people get it worse after being vaccinated. The vaccine does nothing but stimulate the immune system, the virus is not deprived of hosts if people are still catching after getting vaccinated.
