It is now a blue wave: Dems about to achieve a net gain of 40 seats

If buying your Chinese TV and Korean car put americans out of work and transfer American wealth to those countries, then it is the government's business. I am surprised that you don't understand that.

Then quit whining to me about capitalism, as you clearly do not support it. You support the government trying to stop free capitalism

all he is asking the media companies to do is be honest and fair and to give voice to all sides. If they don't do that they become indoctrination vehicles for one side. Again, I am surprised that you don't understand that because you seem to be an intelligent person.

capitalism is not about being fair, once again you show that you do not really support capitalism, you support the government making companies act as they want them to act.

If being an indoctrination vehicles for one side is what makes the r lives.
Then change the Constitution.

There is nothing in Constitution about the big government putting their fingers in all parts of our lives

I agree with you on capitalism.

However the founders of our nation saw that business needed to be properly regulated for free markets to properly exist and continue over time.

The only result of unregulated capitalism is monopolies and oligarchies. Competition is destroyed, the little guy can't get a foothold and innovation is stifled.

Proper regulation on business prevents that.

No one wants the government to make their clothes or cars etc. We do want the government to make sure those cars and clothes are safe to use. We do want the government to make sure the food we eat and medications we take are safe and do what the makers claim. We do want the government to make sure that the little guy has a chance and for innovation to grow.

There can never be a completely free market. Whether it's greedy oligarchs manipulating the market in their favor or the government trying to tip the scales back, there will never be a free market.

we buy 20 billion in Chinese goods, we send them 20 billion dollars and they send us electronics and bamboo unbrellas for our martinis. the Chinese buy 5 billion in soybeans and frozen chicken from us. they send us 5 billion dollars. 20 billion minus 5 billion equals 15 billion in wealth (money, good, whatever) that has been transferred from the US to china. A negative trade deficit equals transfer of wealth.
Yeah, but, we get 20 billion in goods. It's not really a wealth transfer. They are profiting from us more than we are profiting from them. I will give you that.

then to make it even worse, we borrow some of that back from china (with interest) in order to finance our deficit spending. So another transfer of wealth to china plus they now hold our credit chits (on which we only pay interest so our debt to them increases every year).. Its terrible and stupid economic policy no matter which party is doing it and we have been doing it for decades
I don't disagree with you here.

Stop voting for the duopoly until they nuke the Fed and start being responsible.

OK, you don't support tariffs. Are you OK with transferring billions in American wealth to China every year? that's exactly what a trade imbalance does. Are you OK with international companies leaving the US and US jobs in order to make more money by exploiting cheap or slave labor? (Nike).

Without tariffs, what is your solution for fixing the trade imbalance between the US and China?

Quit parroting stupid partisan talking points.

Do you "transfer your wealth" when you go to the grocery store or Best Buy?

Is your employer transferring their wealth to you when they give you a pay check?

Have you noticed that the evil trade deficit goes up as our economy does better? Why is that?

If we are getting fucked over so badly by these evil trade deficits why are we under 4% unemployment with more jobs than people to fill them?

If we are getting fucked over so badly by these evil trade deficits why are 113 months into the 2nd longest period of economic expansion in the history of the country?

It is simple...there are "x" number of job openings so we need "x" number of people to fill those openings.

Does not seem complicated.

if an employer can hire an illegal for $5/hr but has to pay an American $15/hr---------------------------------duh. the employer makes more profit and the American is out of a job. Explain how that is good for the USA

If you want that to stop then why aren't you screaming for that criminal employer to face very strict penalties for hiring an illegal?

Why are you voting for people who don't go after all the criminals?

The minute an employer hires an undocumented worker, that employer becomes a criminal. Yet you don't care about that. All you care about is the undocumented worker.

That worker wouldn't have a job if that employer didn't hire them. That employer wouldn't hire them if that employer knew the government would destroy his business and put him in prison for several years.

You're worried about the wrong person here.

You stop losing jobs to undocumented workers when employers stop hiring them.

But don't you people brag about the low unemployment? Seems undocumented workers aren't hurting the job market if the unemployment rate so low. Anyone who wants a job can have one so what's the problem?

I don't think any reasonable person is naive enough to believe that we don't needs some enforceable rules. I think it is more fair if we have the least amount of government interference as possible. When government starts acting as parent to some who should know better than to take certain risks, we have a problem. Government should not be a shield for stupidity.

When you go to the grocer story you give them 100 dollars and they give you 100 dollars in good back.

When you fill up your gas tank you give them 40 bucks and get 40 bucks worth of good back.

When you pay your electric bill you give them 100 bucks for the 100 bucks worth goods in the form of electricity.

When you buy a car your give them your 20 grand and get 20 grand worth of goods back.

There is no transfer of wealth going on as there is a free exchange, wealth for goods.

This is capitalism in a nutshell and you are fighting against it.

You want the Fed Govt to control who buys what...sounds a lot like socialism.

Sounds like you would be a lot happier in Russia than the US.

You are confusing two things that are not related.

The trade deficit with China is between China and individuals in the US, not the government.

The government is borrowing money from China because the government spends more than it brings in, it has nothing to do with the trade deficit.

Yes I agree. The devil is in the details.

When you have the proper regulation capitalism works well. Without it, it doesn't.

People just have to agree what proper regulation is and how to implement it.

That's the hard part.

all of those transactions are one for one, but that's not what is happening between us and China. We are buying 20 billion in goods from them and they are buying 5 billion in goods from us. Forget about the money if it makes it easier for you. Just think about the goods, they now have a net gain of 15 billion in goods as a result of those trades. Their value (wealth) has been increased as a result of those transactions.

If you still don't get it you never will, and it has nothing to do with Russia. Although we should trade with Russia more than we do.

You are just so dumb.

We are buying 20 billion dollars worth of good from them, they are sending us the 20 billion worth of goods and we are sending them 20 billion dollars.

Then...

They are buying 5 billion dollars worth of goods from us and they are sending use 5 billion dollars while we send them 5 billion dollars worth of goods.

They have a net gain of 20 billion in dollars and a net loss of 20 billions dollars worth of goods.

And using your elementary analogy, we have the 15 billion net gain in goods as they sent us 20 billion in goods and we only sent them 5 billion in goods.

You repubs can pretend it is fraud because your GOP masters told you so, but how about you just be adults and accept the results?

And sure, if actual evidence of fraud presents itself, let’s investigate it. I’m guessing nothing will change though.

Democrats could win 40 House seats, the most since Watergate
Talk about accepting election results. Maybe you dems should look in the mirror before asking Republicans to accept the results. Why is it dems can never seem to win until a week after the election. Trust but verify seems a good plan. Trump won fair and square and most dems still can’t seem to accept that their anointed queen lost to a real Patriot.
