Because a lot of Loyalists fought in that battle. They could have been neighbors or even loved ones of those that buried them.

At the beginning of the war more Americans were pro-Brit than Pro-revolutionary.

The Brits, however, couldn't resist going out of their way to make the Continentals look like the better choice.
 
Because they weren't Americans. They were British.

The colonists were Brits, idiot. Please lay off the dope, it's already too late for most of your brain cells, but try and save a few anyway. Do you know what the word 'loyalist' means? Of course not.
