When Israel decides conditions are appropriate for a ceasefire with Hezbollah (read: Iran), Israel, as her own sovereign nation, will make that agreement with Iran.

• Then Iran uses Israel's fighting back as an excuse to close the Strait? This is extortion, blackmail. Iran is trying to leverage the war in Persia with the USA which they inflamed themselves as leverage to further get at Israel.
• Any deal between Israel and Lebanon/Hezbollah/Iran is strictly your business and should not be conflated with the Strait/Persian/US Peace Talks.

I am beyond incensed that the USA (Trump/Hegseth) continually lets Iran call the shots setting conditions for their surrender. Are they beaten or not? Iran should not be in any position to set conditions. While the USA has clearly severely blunted much of Iran's military, the bulk of the central regime remain in power and in control and this bullshit has gone on long enough.

This is how you fight a war (especially if you were the trigger that really began it):

1. You decapitate Iran's leadership - done.
2. You decapitate Iran's armed forces - 95% done.
3. You devastate Iran's infrastructure: electric power, communications, water, bridges, damns, railroads, et al. - NOT done.

I've grown tired of the ever-changing stories from our leadership on where we are and what we have done, combined with the continual vacillation and pushing back of deadlines. The USA needs to:

1. Lay the groundwork for all of the terms and conditions required.
2. Give Iran a hard deadline (not weeks and months down the road).
3. Explain to them that 1 minute past midnight on the deadline date if they have not fully complied, we destroy the country.
4. You follow through fully on threats and promises.

If our leaders did not see these conditions coming with Iran, they are IDIOTS.

If our military cannot or is not prepared to fully open the Strait and guarantee safety of tankers and fully defend or kill all military intrusions, we have no business being there.
