When Israel left Egypt and crossed the Red Sea, they entered into the Saudi Arabia. From Saudi Arabia, they travelled into the Jordan Valley and from the Jordan Valley, they crossed the Jordan River to where God had told them to go. If you look at this map, the Red Sea is located downwards on the map. Clicking on the map and dragging the map upward will relocate the map to that area. You can see that from out of Egypt, the Red Sea divides the Saudi Arabia and Egypt. So Israel entered into Saudi Arabia and the area next to Saudi Arabia, where they were in the desert for 40 years. And from the Jordan Valley, they crossed over the Jordan River into the Promised Land. The Promised Land, by God to His Peculiar People, is what is now the West Bank and Israel.
